come on seriously, how was linekar to know he would be hosting a cl final show and spurs would be in it? he wasn't outrageously bias like hoddle was he.
anyway there seems to be a lot of soul searching with spurs. I don't think they need to that much but they have the stadium to pay for and a few issues. I don't see a big job for poch this summer. I dont think they need worry there. all jobs occupied. also he made errors last night with Kane... so... September when Utd come calling alderweirld will be off I suppose but they have Sanchez ready even if he is impetuous. Trippier is an issue I guess but he gave his all. rose is no issue the only sale needed is eriksen as he wouldn't sign a deal. the way mane ran past him twice means I don't see 100+mil bid. they'll have him next season. all others are on long deals. they just cleared 70 or 80 mil and made 100 mil last year in profit. surely levy will open the purse strings.
spurs biggest problem, and i think their fans know it is mr ego. they are a much better team without him. is he calling the shots or does poch make the decisions?
I was at a concert in Manc land last night, fortunately it finished in time for me to ditch everyone and go and watch the second half. Found an Irish bar which was full of reds, had some spuds fans, and of course a fair few Mancs in it, so I watched it on the big screen in there. The win was satisfying. Satisfying. Especially when Origi drilled the second home. The reds fans carried on partying to the Irish music that came on at full time, for a long time, the spuds fans all streamed out in single file with their heads down at the final whistle, along with the mancs, none of them saying anything. What was maybe more satisfying than number 6 was walking to get my train back with morose, sad, pathetic and bitter Mancs (mostly Utd as you'd expect) everywhere chanting come on you spurs and other insults an hour after the final whistle the dejection and brokenness clear in their drunken gibberish and written all over them, as loads of reds fans strolled around singing our songs and celebrating with each other. It's just what we do boys, it's just what we do.
Agreed Lloris should have done better - it wasn't a great penalty. Early goal killed the game but it worked in our favour in the end.
Lets be honest, if Kane wasn't from Spudland he wouldn't have started. They'd probably sold him along time ago after all those loans he had. I think if they were to get a big offer for him they should sell, he just doesn't fit how they want to play very well. And because of that they compromise to fit him in. Moura and Son are the types of forwards they should be playing with.
