It's the European Cup final tonight, have we decided who we want to win yet? For most Saints fans, (Ides excepted ) this is a horror final between two clubs we love to hate. We have Liverhampton, and with it the chance of Lovren, Lallana and Virgil picking up a medal. We'll also have the deal with '6 times now la, European royalty yanooooo!' for the Summer. Then we have the North London Yobbos... now any of us who know any Spurs fans will know how annoying and delusional they are at the best of times. They'll be completely unbearable if they win it and I also have to give my Spud mate a nifty should it come to pass. Also, #prayforarchers. I'll be watching it at his house with my other mate who supports Liverpool so I suppose at least I can laugh at one of them no matter what Who do you want win?
I don’t want Liverpool to win as I dislike Klopp immensely(and the media’s love addiction to them).but then again I don’t want spurs to win as I cringe every time they sing our song. But I will watch and will hope to see an entertaining end to end match.
I would rather Spurs. But i would much rather it be won in the very last minute, through a hugely controversial goal. That way one set of fans will be completely heart broken.
Any dislike of Spurs has faded as hate for Liverpool and Klopp propels to the next level. Absolutely no contest whatsoever.
I dislike Spurs more than any team. When I went there a few years ago a group of their fans genuinely thought they were the biggest club in London despite not winning anything and Chelsea having won everything, and Arsenal winning a fair amount. They’re so deluded. Liverpool have won 5 already, 6 won’t make a difference. If spurs win it actually gives them something to brag about for once. They’ve also raided us almost as much as Liverpool have.
Just about got over my disappointment at Ajax going all Spursy. Can't stand Spurs, never could. Nothing to do with Poch, it pre-dates him by at least 40 years. New stadium looks good though, and at least they built it in Tottenham in the end, despite their attempts to muscle in on the Olympic Park. Not that they've ever done a single thing that I'm aware of to help out one of the most deprived communities in London if not the UK - they really are aloof that way. Thing is, they're 4.4 to back on Betfair. Impossible to pass that up. I have a Spurs supporting mate coming round to watch it, and here's another thing - I know loads of Spurs fans, and whereas collectively they have something of the night about them, individually they're mostly alright. What really swings it though, is Weasel Van Snake. My dream of him watching Tadic pick up his winners medal has been shattered, but who could begrudge Victor Wanyama his place in history? Then again, who am I kidding? Liverpool are going to win. Klopps gurning mug is going to be everywhere, all summer, and he'll probably acquire a Scouse accent. Everyone will tell Van Snake he's the best defender in the world and he still won't smile. Lovren will tell everyone he's the best defender in the world. A Liverpool victory is the more unbearable prospect, on balance. C'mon Spurs. Sort of
Funny cos I'll actually be quite happy for whichever manager wins it as a lot has been said about them both winning nothing at their respective clubs and whoever does will have deserved it. Just don't particularly want either club to win it Think I'm definitely going with Spurs though, will provide more entertainment on here as well.
Tottenham for me, just to rub it in to Arsenal further, that they should be London´s number one club and that their inferiors (Chelsea and Tottenham) have superceded them. In additon, it would be great for Spurs to win something at long last. As for Liverpool, they will be winning a batch of trphies soon, if they don´t win tonight.
Now there's a surprise Ides. Why exactly would it be great for Spurs to win something? Liking the "at long last" bit though mate
I want Spurs to win...well I don't really but I want Liverpool to lose for sure. In fact I don't want Spurs to win, but I'd be happy if Poch won a trophy. If Bingo* Klopp wins, I won't be able to watch TV till at least autumn because it'll be nothing but obsequious journos and pundits trying to suck him off whilst Virgil looks on from over his shoulder like the King of smug. It's like asking which breed of dog do you want to crap on your pizza, spaniel or Labrador when the actual answer is neither. *
^^ Pretty much sums it up. I don't want anyone to win, unfortunately someone has to. Lesser of two evils is Spurs and they have Poch - warmed to him and realised he isn't a snake...he actually quite likes us too if you listen to him in the media.
Having just reconsidered ......I now would prefer spurs to win as if Liverpool won I wouldn’t be able to watch sky Liverpool/Klopp news .....I mean sky sports news for at least a year.
