Kyle Edmund beats Jeremy Chardy 7-6 (7-1) 5-7 6-4 4-6 7-5 So stopped at 5-5 in last set with neither player appealing for bad light and Kyle came out and won two games....bish, bosh, all over. We will never know if the stoppage made any difference....though it looked like Edmund was the stronger player who lacked his opponent's ability to fire down aces.
Murray/Soares lose 2-1 and go out of the French Open early. Last pairing for these two....Murray has entered the next tournament in the Netherlands with fellow Brit Skupski as his new partner.
I thought last night that the stoppage would help Kyle more. He could rest, gather his thoughts and come out all guns blazing today. Easy to say now but that was the case.

Yet again AJ showed what a great guy he is even in defeat. Takes defeat well and gracious to the victor. I dislike fighting because of all the stupid trash talk and facing off with each other....Joshua has always been my favourite for the way he behaves.
Joshua’s performance peaked at Klitschko and he hasn’t reached that since, he got totally done last night. Massive regroup needed.
