we all talk about whether or not it should be raylor or simpson at right back but what about tavernier when he returns. he looked good in pre season even when playing on the left. and it sounds like he's done well out on loan
as ryan taylor isn't great defensively and others in the team can take the set peices whilst simpson is solid if unspectacular.
the only worry for me is lack of experience but as they say if you're good enough you're old enough.

He looked good on the left? You sure about that?

Tavernier is very small and much better going forwards than back. I don't think he's ready to take on the high-quality, stronger wingers of the EPL.

Really like Tavernier and certainly think he is worthy of being mentioned in the right back mix. It'll be irrelevant come Jan when we sign a proper left back, probably Cissokho, and Santon shifts into his natural role. Somebody slap me hard.

On topic, for me Tavernier should start right back when he returns. He is a good defender and he is great going forward. I have spoken to two Carlisle fans who have both said Tavernier has been brilliant!

Never underestimate the gulf in class between the Premier League and the League One. Kazenga LuaLua shone in that league but couldn't get anywhere near our first team. I rate Tavernier don't get me wrong but when he returns he'll be a useful asset on the bench, far too early to heap pressure on him by starting him.

Shola tore apart the Championship when he wasn't injured. <ok>
