Just filthy from Stokes, as an ex cricketer myself I can tell you 6 out of 10 you don't get near it the other 4 you tip over the bar. 1 in a million stick.

Size of the win/defeat could ultimately be very important - especially for SA.

    One down, 10 to go.

Great performance by England. This team can bat right down the order and yet still have some great bowlers. And fielding is of the highest order.

    We can dream, can't we?:bandit:

This is English Cricket's version of the "golden generation" x10, so you would like to think that we have a decent shout.

We are probably the best team in it but its one day cricket and the best team doesnt always do it in the one off games at the end

Archer was the missing piece in the puzzle. I can't see England not making the final.

I have no doubt that England will qualify for the semis. At that stage, though, it will be keeping cool heads in front of an expectant nation. Very happy that England won very handsomely today. More of the same please.

'twas a nice catch. Like the hand-eye co-ordination required for that is mind-blowing.

However, I'm excited because I managed to get tickets to New Zealand v Afghanistan in Taunton... Come on Afghanistan! One of my classmates came over from there after the US invasion in 2002. Unfortunately because trains are rubbish in this country, I'll probably have to miss a fair amount of the game just to make the latest train I can catch (which is ridiculously early), unless I can convince my girlfriend for an impromptu night in Bristol.

I met Jofra and his dad at Sussex. He’s a lovely chap. Dad is a funny one though - didn’t take much interest in Jofra, then realised he was getting a bit good at cricket, and likely to play for England. Suddenly got interested again...

You could have a got a ticket for India v Afghanistan at the Ageas Bowl. I'm tempted to get a ticket for Australia v Sri Lanka at the Oval. Easy to get to and only £27 for a ticket.
