just been looking through the views of #takethats 30000 fans who are saying how wonderful #ashtongate is.
Many saying it was the best concert they have attended including the likes of #wembleystadium and the #o2areana

Another 30000 muse fans in next week and 30000 #spicegirls coming up.

Certainly putting #Bristol and #Ashtongate on the map.

Well done Mr L great vision and hopefully more revenue to get our beloved club #BristolCity into the #premiership.

Get some good bands there next time though!

Agreed, Ashton Gate is such a great home, so proud that it's ours.

I'm only kidding really. The Spice Girls, Take That, etc they're not exactly my bag but they're the exact sort of bands the club should be aiming for to get the crowds in.

Not my bag either, but I took my wife who's a fan. I was just thinking to myself 'this is about where the goalposts would be' & recreating Smith's winner against Man U in my head!

Muse? Probably one of the biggest rock bands in the world at the moment. I’m off to see them in the Olympic stadium, could of changed to Ashton Gate when it was announced. But never been to the Olympic stadium so thought I would like to see it. Seen them before cracking band live.
Take That massive seller even though not my taste. Have to admit I saw them on the Circus tour as my wife wanted to see them and was impressed with their show and ability to play live.
Rod Stewart not in any off my music collection, but still sells out tours.
Spice Girls big reunion tour. All I could say is I would of shagged one or two of them but would of wore ear defenders.

All sell outs, and to me at least one band for everyone given the choice.

And all I can say is if you’ve not seen Muse. My wife was not a fan when we first went but ranks it as one of her all time favourite gigs.
We’ve got a two weeks worth of concerts coming up. Muse, then Mumford & Sons. Then on fathers Sunday Fleetwood Mac, which was my 19 year daughters choice and dragging me and the wife along as her friends wouldn’t go with her.

I was only jesting mate! Though to be fair I have seen Muse and it was dreadful, but it got completely panned afterwards for the sound being terrible (it was in Benicassim). I saw them from afar at Glasto a few years back so definitely need to give them another go, they have a great reputation as a live band.

Fleetwood Mac would be amazing but I just couldn't justify the prices for a seated ticket. You'll have to let us know how they are because they are a genuine bucket list band. Think they'll be incredible!

Gotta say the Take That gig looked very impressive indeed.

I've read that the Spice Girls have been having lots of sound issues on their tour so far - apparently the audience can still hear them!

To be honest I've never been a fan of Fleetwood Mac but when my daughter said "Stevie is nearly 70 now, so may be dead next time" how could I refuse her :emoticon-0140-rofl:

I'm gutted as I seen The Killers 9 times on all their tours or extra dates and I'm out the country when they play Cardiff next month. And to make things worse my mum and step father are going. I asked them if they know any of their songs.
If you've not seen them then put them on your bucket list. When I first saw them backing up U2 (seen them loads of times, but they've racked their ticket prices up to another level. So they've lost me) Brandon Flowers was a shy didn't know what to do, to move into a real showman.

It's funny you say that. I saw The Killers last year but I have absolutely no recollection of it.... probably a little too much 'assistance' with the beer! They're headlining Glasto in a few weeks time though so I'll see them again (or for the first time depending on how you look at it). Great easy-listening band.

I did the "hospitality" for Take That - very impressive - there were 50 tables each seating 12 people - the potential for making money is huge

I have done hospitality when we entertained customers last season. I preferred being in my own seat, where I can sing, swear and cuss when I want. In the hospitality section you’re surrounded by some fans or people just there for the jolly.

We’ve a box for football and rugby next season, that I will have to attend. I’m keeping my head down at the moment for reasons above.

For the money though (even though I didn’t pay) it was worth doing.

    £370 each - that included a 2 course meal and a free bar from 5pm to 7pm
My wife thought it was worth it - and because we have a lot going on due to family illness it was worth it to get her away from all that for a day
Stayed overnight in the Bristol Hotel
