Only one Englishman on the field at the start of play, not an English trainer or owner anywhere, yet the BBC still call it an all English final
It’s catchier than listing every nationality on the pitch and the two teams are based in London. Crazy I admit.
They are English clubs. They'll be a lot more English players on show in the proper game on Saturday.
The big difference here is that Arsenal and Scum supporters would view this as one big game of ten over a ten year period; wheras, for us the numbers are a bit different. Over the Xmas holiday, I was very close to booking very cheap flights for me and the boy for the play-offs! Perspective!!!
Sorry Col but they are neither English nor are they 'clubs'. The whole essence of being a club involves membership who then have a say in the running of such an organization. A 'club' is not a plaything of some billionaire and never can be. If you ask anyone who owns eg. Bayern Munich then they will shrug their shoulders and say the members own it ie. the club owns itself. In the case of Bayern that is 290,000 people. Real Madrid and Barcelona are also, more or less, fan owned. So the predatory billionaires go to the premier league looking for a plaything to buy. This is why from the 10 richest 'clubs' in Europe, 6 are in the Premier League. The result of this is that the Premiership is able to rape Europe of its talent, both playing and managerial, and is able to stage so called 'all English finals'.
I could hear thousands of Rangers and Celtic fans getting excited there!! Good to put them back in their wee box
