Having updated myself on all the previous comments, my last post was a touch harsh!
Most of you guys have been very magnanimous :D
    Thoroughly enjoyable night!

edit: also, Jay just needs confidence(his first PL goal should do it). He was wasteful in front of goal, but i don't think he lost a header in the first half! Great foil for the rest of the side, good hold up play.
And SheBluSid, bit harsh judging Puncheon on 10 mins of play!

The performance was so much more important than the result though, some awesome football out there tonight.

We out-played an established Prem team with 5 new players having to gel for the first time. Toon were playing for a draw from the start of the 2nd half (how Krull wasn't booked for time wasting I'll never know!!). Faurlin just edged man of the match from the fantastic Wright-Phillips and, as for Twatio or whatever the name of the Toon "best holding midfielder in the prem" was, well Taarabt made him look very silly indeed, especially when he nut-megged him in the first half. What do you Toon's think of Taarabt now then? Think the jury's still out on whether Obertan is as good?

Taarabt looked decent last night to be fair. We were outplayed, tactics from Pardew were completely wrong and you guys bossed the midfield. Thank god Bothroyd is ****e and can't finish!

Fair comment mate (although Bothroyd had a good game APART from his finishing imo) All the best for the rest of the season.

when you come to st james we'll play with balls that don't go flat.

tbf you lot played well but we just didn't turn up tonight it didn't help you have a smaller pitch. but at the end of the day you deserved all three points and i think if you carry on like this you should finish 12th. and good luck for the rest of the season.

    Pitch dimensions:
    Loftus Road 112 x 72 yards
    St James' Park 110 × 73 yards

It's the stadium that is smaller, not the pitch. Just thought i should kill an old myth. But i understand that the perception can be that the Loftus Road pitch is smaller.

Fair play to Taarabt, he played much better than I expected but I won't judge him based on one match. If you're losing away to Blackburn, Wigan, Bolton etc then he needs to stand up and be counted. Time will tell whether he does or not. But we couldn't cope with him in the first half, or SWP all night. R Taylor is far too slow and inexperienced at LB to deal with the pace and directness of SWP. We handled Taarabt better in the second half and he didn't have as much of an influence. As for Obertan, don't think he's a right winger by any stretch of the imagination, only time he looked vaguley good was when he was in the middle a bit more. As I said, can't judge anybody this early on I guess. It's a long old season. Faurlin was very good also, and with SWP they both outshone Joey last night. Your midfield looks very good, your season will be defined on how well your defence copes. Look at Blackpool, score lots of goals but weren't up to it at the back and it cost them. When you play a team that can actually attack you then it could be tough. They looked okay last night, but we all know they weren't tested in the slightest. Think you'll stay up, with the Swans, Norwich and Blackburn heading down.

Fancy QPR to survive after last night and think they'll cause a lot of teams trouble. They've bought well. Bothroyd never convinced me he was gonna score though. He did well with other aspects but they need a goal scorer. SWP is a good signing and I think Barton will get him and Taarabt ticking as he did last night. Joey had an excellent game for me. Quietly effective but he was the guy who took the game by the scruff and got it down to play football. Luke Young is a really good signing.

We were shocking of course. Tiote seemed to be playing for QPR at various stages! I think QPR will get teams who will make it tougher. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask eh lads! We'll take the point and move on, hoping we don't play so poorly again. Hopefully Pardew will have learnt from last night, he made a mistake tactically. It can happen to even the best but he needs to react quicker in future. 4th after 4 games with 8 points, almost a quarter of what we need to survive. Over the moon.

We were outplayed, so i'm happy with a point. We desperately need to play five in midefield, Shola added nothing tonight.

Tiote had another poor display, no doubt down to pre-season though.

the one sleight i have with QPR was Derry. He made an appalling tackle in the first half that should've seen red. Okay, it was mis-timed but it was at knee height. Could've seriously injured Best.

i know your high up at the school end but i suggest you have your eyes tested, i surpose the hack at Joey Barton must have been a dive cause if anything deserved a red that was it.
