It's a shame the season just gone was practically a write off for him. A 5 month injury, no chance to get match fitness when he did return, and then got injured again when he was due to get a chance. Best for all to let him go.
Yeah, and then wages were a stumbling block. Doubt much has changed in 6 months. McCarthy is potentially more realistic
