    Although I don't know, I was going to say 'Keep the home fires burning' as a joke but in fact that's in thoroughly bad taste as Hull was bombed to Hell 4 months later. I suspect that there were more important things on people's minds at that time. RIP so many.

    Like you I had to look at what was number one in the USA as there wasn’t a chart in the UK when I was born.
    Pleased to find out it was the theme from my all time favourite film. Which was the best musical background of any film in my opinion.

    Liked the B side of St George and the Dragonet, Little Blue Riding Hood. You need to be of a certain age to get them properly. Same with this, my favourite Freeburg number. You have to be old enough to remember Johnnie Ray to really appreciate it. The “dramatic” bit in the middle is hilarious.
