On a technical point there is no "Gallowgate Road" in Newcastle upon Tyne. There are a number of roads in Gallowgate Newcastle upon Tyne. So, if you did see him which road was Pardew on?
The one thing Rafa's reign has done, is highlight just how well Pardew did under almost identical difficult circumstances. Never relegated in his 5 years and still the only manager since Ashley arrived to deliver European football to Newcastle. Regardless how much we might dislike him as a person, history tells us he did a stellar job as manager. If you think otherwise, then you must also think Rafa has done a less than stellar job. We should not go back. You never should to be honest because I can't recall too many successful 2nd terms as manager in football.
The slimey silver haired sleazebag was having some fried chicken after shagging your mum. Are we really that **** that our best season in the last 15 years was Under Pardew?
Looks like Pouchy is off his meds again - it’s going to be a long Summer. If he is going to be like this again we might as well go the whole hog and unban Fredor.
It's morally and ethically wrong to lambast a man for telling the truth, furthermore the facts do not lie. If Benitez had Pardew's impeccable understanding of how to deal with the cards the fat one had dealt him we would have been a joy to watch and not the turgid bag of sh!te we've had to endure over the last couple of years. Bring back St. Alan, that's what I say. Oh yes, nearly forgot.....Fredor's a twat.
Pardew gets a lot of bad press but he did actually do a good job for us in the early years. No he did really. But unfortunately he did lose the fans and that’s when his arsehole nature kicked in. He didn’t conduct himself to well at that point. I don’t have the hate against him that a lot of people do.
He had 1 good season with a much better team than we have now, where everything that bounced off Cisse/Ba ended up in the net. At the end of his term we were absolutely pathetic. HBA should have got the Ballon D'or that year
So what you are saying is Rafa has never had a good season? That's a bit harsh. You have to consider the constraints these two guys are working under. Afterall Pardew finished 12th (half season 12th when he joined), 5th, 16th, 10th, 15th (half season 10th when he left). Manager of the year one year, European football. Solid finishes two of the other seasons. Indeed with the budget he had, we were only seriously involved in one relegation battle. As for Cisse and Ba, well he did sign them both to be fair so he can take plenty of credit for that. Left us with a solid squad of players and allowed McClaren the chance to spend 80m because he'd been so frugal over the years. You can certainly nail Pardew on behaviour but not on results. People like to throw the terrible runs we went on, but are happy to ignore Rafa's because of Ashley. Lets face it the judgement of Pardew is based solely on his heritage and dislikeable personality as to criticise for results would mean you also think Rafa is gash. HBA was just a fat **** really. If anything he was partly responsible for our demise with all the bother he caused. Shame really as really talented. As has been shown since though, highly unprofessional and just can't cut it in the professional ranks for any sustained period. Wasted his career, all for that bit of extra chicken cottage. Sorry but there is no argument to be had on HBA. If he had been professional and got on no bother at his other clubs then maybe. I think Nice is the only place he didn't act like a complete knob.
