for someone to mention the retained list, is it what people were expecting?
The big WHO IS MAKING THE DECISIONS?
Was Tom Hadler the only surprise?
Has Scally taken over the manager role as well?
Who and how many, are we likely to get in?
Has Always finally lost the plot?

I can't being doing with reading all that but i got the main point of it.

I have said in the past and will repeat what happened after the Dover game (can't remember the date) it was disgusting, during the game and after. Mostly instigated by supporters I had never seen before. I had some guests I took along that day and it was embarrassing, it never endeared me to take them back again.

I've always made clear, even if I was rich I would never buy our club, it's not worth the hassle from the terraces.

Don't take this wrong, supporters are entitled to an opinion, as alwaysright would remind me, we are paying customers and in todays game, with pricing entailed, you have a complaints department, albeit via social media.

I do not want Scally to go but...

He has never endeared himself to fans, last time i read a long write up of his, he was knocking the fans, again a long write up and the boot is going in again. Jusitfiable in the instance he highlights, however, he also promised to intereact with the supporters (or so i thought) via social media - it never happened.

One of our users on this board, went to great lengths to write him a long letter, well worded, polite and professional - guess what not a response!

You can't have it both ways Mr Chairman, respect has to be earned, the decades long gone days of dinosaur rule has flipped into the 21st Century, where Chairman such as MacAnthony, you know him, the guy that parted with Evans (take the hint) he does twitter and interacts with the fans, he does live broadcasts, one i remember of a meeting in Vegas, whereas your social media Mr Chairman is non existent.

So I do disagree with the abuse and i support you 100% on that, but i refer you to the Aesop's Fables.

brb - I did read ALL of it.
I agree that some of the language used by 'fans' is disgusting - but ( without condoning their actions ), it is a (very) base level of response by people who have been treated with poor social skills.

The catalogue of nonsense that has occurred whilst Mr.Scally has been Chairman is no coincidence - HE -is the common denominator in all the events. He gives rhetoric after rhetoric - and seems surprised when intelligent people can see 'through' all of the pipe dreams. ---- BUT -- apparently EVERYONE else is wrong !
He talks about the financial stability of the Club ---I will give him credit for arranging for the creditors to receive a pittance of what they were owed. I will give him credit for the massive return on HIS £1 investment when he 'bought' The Club.

Scally claims that he might 'walk away' -- pigs might fly ! Why would he? -- unless he's got too much money (( obviously not for a player budget )). Why would anyone walk away from a position where they can draw £300,000 worth of 'old rope.' I thought he was thick-skinned enough to ignore the justifiable anger of fans over the years. I suppose the chance to put another couple of zeros on his yearly 'consultancy fee', by converting the grass into bricks and mortar - without the hassle, is a very attractive prospect.

I support the TEAM - if I could avoid MY money reaching the pockets of Mr.Scally, I would take most opportunities. I do not like the type of character that Evans has portrayed in the past. I am prepared to give him a chance to redeem himself - as long as he does not use cheating tactics to win games....... every saint has a past, every sinner has a future.

....... should we start a thread as to when Evans will be sacked.

Very embarrassing by the Chairman that the day i write this very comment he brings in Evans as manager, something that was predicted by every Gills supporter, and demonstrates how out of touch he is with his fanbase.

It depends on what answers you are looking for, I wanted to know who is pulling the strings and that has confirmed it is Evans.
It didn't answer the question as to whether always' has lost the plot, but brb reckons the doctor is still waiting for a second opinion.

Was confirmed yesterday that Mark Patterson made the decisions on the retained list.

For me we should have tried to keep Luke O'Neill. One of the best full backs we've had for a long time and he has just been unlucky that Barry Fuller's form had been excellent.

I think O'Neill flatters to deceive. I have to admit I didn't get many games this season, but he seldom did more than hit a decent dead ball. On too many occasions his crosses were badly timed and badly directed, and defencively he didn't read the game particularly well. I wish him well. He's not bad, but I think we should be able to find a more complete wing back.

I dont understand why we leave it so long to offer contracts. Holy should have been tied down to something a year back at least same with Eaves. I just hope we are offering Hanlan a contract now as I fear losing him next summer after a good season.
