Boris or whoever wins will play the long waiting game.
A new leader won't be installed till they break up for their summer holidays which will take us to September.
In between time we will ratchet up the car/lorry park in Kent (and other 'precautions') negotiate further and wait for Junker/Macron to blink.

By the end of October we either have OUR deal or we leave the EU.
The game Boris/whoever plays - Parliament won't stop it.

R&W - I know you will need my pills to stop worrying.
We were alone in 39 - Our parents generation would think this a cakewalk in comparison.
Remainers, Stop fretting, Britain will be fine.
The Italians, Greeks, Spanish and the other basket EU cases - I'm not so sure.

He’s still got to get voted in first.
The Tory party MPs hate him. I cling to that desperate hope that they won’t vote him in.

BJ is as ruthless as Corbyn but not as clever. He just wants the top job and is prepared to sacrifice my beloved country to get it.
That’s why he switched allegiances from Remain to Brexit (read his pro-Remain articles in the Telegraph - until he was eventually sacked by the Telegraph for lying - yes it’s true!!). In reality he doesn’t even know or care what they both Remain or Brexit actually ARE. He just spotted an opportunity to replace Cameron and jumped on Farage’s comedy train to try and achieve it.
He is a cock of the highest order - even bloody Kranky (Sturgeon) has more of Britain’s interest at heart than that tw@ - and I hate HER with almost every fibre of my political being.
He is our weak unintelligent and clumsy answer to Donald Trump. He makes KJU look statesmanlike.

I don’t really want BoJo to be my prime minister is really what I’m saying............

the problem with these debates is you have peeps that know nothing just read and say nothing
peeps that know very little and spout off with partially unfounded or un researched comments or repeating old hat or what a self centred individual may have said and has had the "going to dance treatment"
peeps that join the argument by following " the way I always have done/ understood to be /my parents always did and I will never change
peeps that know a little research a little and comment on facts they have come across
peeps that only contribute "anything " to say I am in the debate YOU HEAR THEM A LOT on Thursday question time, a quick excited 15 word comment and always get the prompted " clap now" with added technically enhanced boost ..you 've probably heard it ……... the second they stop talking an instant 115db clap starts and after 3.5 secs it stops .. instantly …
it takes all sorts to make a world …..

who will the 120,000 of us vote for?...………. um let me see Boris or ….. is there a dark outsider !
The EU says no compromise, TOUGH LUCK UK we will not back down on what has been struck … well, the EU could be in for a f****** shock as the puppets get their strings entangled in what could be the worst 4 years of Brussels History. If Salvatini gets a landslide Nigel gets a landslide then the EU will be tied up in a worst state than TM's efforts … bills wont get passed financial actions …. be delayed or even cancelled . they could cause so much disruption they would also have the threat that the UK GOVERNMENT itself could resort to underhand dirty tricks ...fight fire with fire ….. who would we want for a PM to do that …. certainly not Corboliks ………… or one of his front bench Cheshire cats …. and to be honest until the dust from the thrown hats settles we cant even postulate who it might be!
probably my last post on this thread ...yippeeee

Yes, that's exactly what I am saying. That's exactly what I have said. And it's exactly what I will say again. The EU need us more than what we need them. And here is why.
Every study shows what we import from the EU is worth more than what we export to the EU. So therefore the EU would lose more than what we would lose. Also we, the UK, have the 5th biggest economy in the world, despite the negotiation shambles over the past 3 years, and the EU cannot afford to lose us. So I agree with you that the the one with the most to lose is the one with the worse hand in negotiations. But where I disagree is that I know it's the EU who has the most to lose as already stated why above. But with no deal off the table, we now have the worst hand in negotiations. I liken it to the game of chess. The queen is the strongest piece in that game. By taking no deal off the table is basically playing against a chess expert without your queen on the board. Suicide!

The UK will do just fine under WTO terms, which ain't permanent btw, until a trade deal is done and the EU will then want the trade deal to be done asap for their own benefit and we can also start trading with countries around the whole world. Yes it will be tough to begin with but short term pain for long term gain is fine by me.

We will just have to agree to disagree. You can't accept democracy. That's fair enough as that's your prerogative. But I'm so fed up with going around in circles tbh <ok>

Exactly. They say they won't renegotiate but if a strong PM who is known to be a strong chatacter to the EU and they believe this PM wouldn't be afraid to use no deal, the EU will start negotiations again. They will have no choice because it's in their best interest.

Is it in their best interests? As always with politics, it's a game - a game of brinkmanship!! The political scene in this country is such that I believe no-one will be able to get together a package to put to the EU that satisfies everyone and that a no deal Brexit is almost a probability.

This is where your logic is flawed. Yes, in absolute terms you're correct, we buy more from them than we sell. But in relative terms it's a completely different story.

If you treated the UK as an external partner, we'd make up 16% of their exports. That is an enormous amount, and will impact them. But the other way around, 44% of all our exports go to the EU. So it would impact us almost 3 times as much.

We have more to lose than the EU and no amount of WW2 rhetoric or bragging about how great the UK is will fix that. The stats are overwhelming.

The democracy point you of course could be correct. Probably are to be fair. But factually, with regards to trade, your claim is not true.

He wouldn’t necessarily be my choice, but I’d prefer Boris to Corbyn every day of the week!!
