As this was a game we all thought would "tell us where we are likely to be this season" i think a point and a clean sheet away, regardless of how lucky some may say we were, tells me what i thought we are. Mid Table maybe above, and i wouldnt argue too much with that. How we do against the top teams may not matter too much but we have to be getting something from these games and at the moment we are so be thankfull. Get Santon in, Ben Arfa fit and sign a decent Striker in Jan and comfortable top ten or above may yet be quite possible.

I thought Obertan was poor. Made some decent runs, but had no end product and didn't help defensively at all.

More ugly hoofball from Pardew, he can barely make his team string 2 passes together. 4 hideous performances so far this season...not impressed at all.

We desperately need Ben Arfa back.....

  10. I don't know why everyone thinks Ben Arfa is going to be Jesus and be the life of the team. He's a good player but he's coming back from a string of time off, he'll need time before getting back to his best.

His passing and shooting look still there, but his touch and his dribbling will take some time to come back.

    Krul - 6 - Not a lot to do

    Simmo - 7 - Much improved

    Saylor - 7 - Solid as ever

    Collo - 7 - See above

Raylor - 4 - Awful, but in fairness he isn't a left-back and he never will be

Obertan - 6 - Needs more confidence IMO

Cabaye - 6 - Made some very tidy passes when he got the ball but was quite annonymous for periods of the game

Tiote - 6 - Still making stupid mistakes, but looked closer to his best than ever before this season.

Gutierrez - 7 - Didn't do much going forward but he covers soooooooooo much ground. Unsung hero.

Best - 6 - Unlucky not to score, but quite annonymous after getting a knock.

Shola - 5 - Gave away too many unneccessary fouls and was as frustrating as ever. Not as bad as some people make out though.

Sammy Ameobi - 11 - Words alone cannot describe how awesome he is.

  12. Shola doesn't deserve to be only one point off the others. He was ****. I think he made two passes and did **** all else. Won **** in the air and never threatened.

Shola - Slow, clumsey, no technical ability, no pace..

Good in the air? Meh.. sometimes.. what did he offer today? Nada. 0. Nothing!

Start with this for the next game please :

    Krul
    Sim Saylor Colo Santon
    Cabaye Tiote
    Obertan Marvo Guti
    Best/Ba

Today was always going to be a struggle. Taarabt and SWP are both very hit and miss players and we were unfortunate to get them on a 'hit' day. QPR were on a high and are unlikely to put a performance like that in again this season. Shola off for Ba made us look so much better and Marveaux looked good. I liked Obertan today, thought he was very good, but Simmo and Taylor were the standouts. Tiote still doesn't look fit to be honest, AP needs to give him a kick up the arse. Long ball was probably the right tactic in conditions difficult to defend in, but Shola just wasn't up for it

For once I have to agree with Tash (normally some of your ratings are a tad biased and unfair). But Shola was ****ing dreadful. Why Pardew didn't start Ba is beyond me.

Was it three times Shola got the ball on the edge of the box with easy passes and just lost it?

Will people now see that Raylor is crap at defending and we'd be no better with him at RB than Simpson

So as far as I know, this is the first time QPR and Newcastle have ever played eachother and nobody has scored.

Santon to come in with ba panthering best?

or wouldnt it be better to play 451

ben arfa behind best or ba? or marvauex even?
