The far right have become the loony right. Denying thoroughly researched scientific evidence puts them alongside the Flat Earth Society.
Look at the state of him ...the dirty fat lazy slob. Instead of spending £6 of his dole money on a Five Guys milkshake, he should use it to print off a few CVs . Hope the police gave him a kicking in the back of the van
Politics is an angry place atm, and I can't see it getting better. Death treats to MP's are commonplace, in fact Nige publicly threatened to "Put the fear of God into them, it's no more than they deserve", to rapturous applause from his adoring fans. His accolytes have adopted his "radicalised remainers" jibe, which will help the debate no end.
The Home Secretary announced that 19 terror plots have been smashed by the security services in the last year, 14 by Islamist extremists, 5 by far right extremists, and there was also the plot by the far right *****phile to murder Labour MP Rosie Cooper, foiled by a member of the public who infiltrated the far right. We could well have been looking at a bloodbath.
I think I heard the PM is now offering a 'temporary' customs union until 2022 and a People's Vote to get her deal through parliament. So much for the red lines. Customs union = remain. People's vote = remain or remain. I hope those Brexit Party MEP's do a very thorough job on the European Parliament over the next few years. Wreck everything, veto everything. If possible, bring the whole corrupt edifice to a grinding halt.
Why does Nigel keep doing imaginary head-butts while he's speaking, especially after being asked a question he doesn't like?
Ed Miliband was also egged. He took his jacket off, laughed and said "Not one of my fans, obviously". But his father hated Britain, according to Paul Dacre, so I guess it was okay, according to the right.
Even now the European Parliament is using every means it has to attack Nigel Farage and the Brexit Party, trumping up allegations about its funding. Why? Because they are afraid of him. They want him and his future MEP's discredited and disqualified. They want to silence anybody who speaks up against them. It is well known that the EU wishes to punish Britain because it voted to leave. They openly wish to discourage any other member state from ever wanting out, and they'll do it by humiliating the UK at every turn. And so far they have done exactly that. And at the same time they'll be preparing to decide how billions of pounds of UK tax payers' money is spent within the EU. Money they have no right to, because the British people voted three years ago to leave. But those voters have been betrayed by bought-and-paid-for remain politicians and officials, who have hijacked the referendum result, perverted it and ultimately reversed it on behalf of the vested interests. Article 50 expired on March 29th. Since that day this country has been under illegal foreign occupation. Now if you dare to stand up against it they start up their dirty tricks department to take you down. They are a disgrace to the values of democracy and respect and fairness. Accuse me of ranting paranoia or anything you want. But the truth is self-evident. In 2016 we voted to leave. We have not left yet, and probably never will. There is every chance that Article 50 will eventually be revoked. Or we will get a weasel worded 'Brexit' in name only, with customs, trade, tax and movement still fully integrated with the rest of the EU. In other words one way or another the UK is remaining part of the EU after all, regardless of the stated will of the majority of its people. That is corruption and that is betrayal.
A very passionate post, Lardy. I'm just wondering if anyone else on this forum can see both sides of the argument, or are you all firmly entrenched on one side or another, which I fully understand?
I do go overboard, I know. Basically I don't think it's fair that something that was decided by a fair vote three years ago has not been delivered. And I don't like the continual inference from most of the 'liberal' media and establishment that anybody who voted 'Leave' is an ignorant racist. The way that the Lib Dems recently simpered in an election broadcast about wanting a caring, compassionate Britain - and implying this was only possible if we stop Brexit - was properly insulting. This whole bipolar myth that Remain = compassion, fairness & tolerance but Leave = racism, hatred and intolerance is a disgraceful misrepresentation. I simply believe that Britain has a better future outside the EU than within it. Had the 2016 referendum decided to remain by 2 million votes I would have resigned myself to accepting that. (and Farage should have accepted it too, despite what he might have said earlier). It would have been the fair and democratic will of the people. But that 'remain' result did not happen. 2 million more people voted to leave. But that decision has not been honoured, and in my opinion it never will be. That is wrong and it always will be wrong, whatever the politicians say. And I'll never accept it.
I constantly hear this accusation, and also the "They say we're stupid" one, but who has actually said this? Please let me know. Nigel has called remainers "radicalised", it's there on film.
The point is though, Lardy, by all accounts the vote wasn’t fair. If it was a binding referendum, it would have been declared null and void. As for all leave voters being ignorant racists, that is patently untrue, but all the ignorant racists voted for brexit.
As for being better off outside the EU, I haven’t seen one economist suggest that, quite literally the opposite. What happens to the NHS? What about worker/consumer rights & food/product/environmental standards? Do we really trust the Tories to maintain them?
If the vote wasn't 'fair' then it was on a technicality - not something that swayed the opinions of millions of people. Claims that a vote is unfair and therefore invalid are things we are used to hearing in countries where the losing side in a democratic vote would prefer to start a civil war rather than accept that they lost. It does not happen in the UK We respect democracy - or we did until now. And I'm pretty sure all the ignorant folk who hate the tolerant traditions of this country and want to destroy our religious freedom and gender equality and right to free speech voted remain.
So you are happy for an advisory referendum which broke electoral rules, was based on lies (NHS bus, EU giving us a FTA over a cuppa, xx million Turks coming to Britain, the Farage poster suggesting millions of refugees were on their way to Britain, Norway deal etc etc) and which will leave the country worse off economically to go ahead?
