Nobody seems to have picked up on the fact that he is now a very mediocre player and would struggle to get in any Premier League side (WHU excepted).
In another era, McMenemy´s side of around 1980-82, 31 would have been quite youthful. Alan Ball returned to Saints as a player aged 35/6.
Adam was young with enthusiasm and real promise when he was here...I feel he will be a shadow of that now....though I suppose Ralph may be able to get the best out of him. If he thinks he would come here and coast....then no. And he said recently that Bournemouth was where his heart is..perhaps he'll go there.
Can't personally see where Lallana would fit into our current squad..........I also think if he did come back he would be in for a rough time. Although really can't see this happening
Didn’t Everton reject a load of bids/enquiries for Lookman in January? Can’t imagine their position will have changed too much in a few months
I'd be the first person to welcome him back through the door. But, at least in my opinion, there is absolutely no way that it is happening. Not a chance. His age, his wages, his fitness, the type of player we target, club status. Paper talk only.
After being mainly on the bench he started to get starts in January too, which seemed a result of those enquires and maybe to appease him, but after January he got less and less of a look in as the season progressed and now he is on the look out for a new club
Lloyd Kelly off to Bournemouth according to sky sports. Another one we’ve missed out on to Bournemouth after Mepham in Jan although we all saw him against us a few weeks ago getting booked early doors
