And that's admirable mate but out of interest... What positive signs have there been out of this ownership so far?
Needed us in the PL for this season to execute the next stage of his money laundering plan? Now that's speculation @SaintinNZ
Way too early days to say that about the academy imo. I'd argue that there's not much positive news to come from this ownership so far so would rather wait for that than assume everything is okay and wait for the worst.
It is early. But from the point of view that any academy, no matter how good, is useless unless the 1st team manager gives then an opportunity and creates a pathway to the first team, we are certainly getting there.
How much of the decision was down to Gao though? Suspect he was advised by others but even if not, I wouldn't class the sacking of a grossly underperforming employee as a huge positive of his ownership imo.
But you'll accept that the second half of the season with the introduction of a few young players and improvement of others is a positive?
Dunno I'd have rather gone down... More seriously yes there was obviously an improvement but I was initially responding to no 7's post about taking the positives. After everything that we know about Gao then using the fact that he (may have?) sacked a massively underperforming employee as 'taking the positives' is a hell of a stretch to make imo. It wasn't like he rocked up and had a look around to see what he felt he could improve on, he waited until he HAD to do something. More reactive from proactive as far as I can see. If Gao's biggest positive is that he realised that Mark Hughes needed sacking then I'm not going to get too expectant of positives to come.
If it all goes tits up and we end up bottom of league 1 on minus 10 points, would that be such a bad thing? Worked out pretty well last time!!
My thoughts: Weird way to promote a shirt I actually like the shirts Sponsors logo doesn't look that bad Rest I will leave up to you guys...
I'm not happy about having a person that admitted bribery as an owner but I realise i'm stuck with that fact. I know that I feel more pride and affinity with the staff and players now than I did last season for sure and that at least in football terms we look to be moving in the right direction. IF it all blows up and we end up going bankrupt or tumble down the leagues then i'll accept the "told you so" comments but my general outlook in life is optimistic and not always looking for problems that may or may not arise. I still can't wait until the next season starts after a few of Ralph's players come in and a full pre-season under the squad's belts.
