I don't think Hannibal would want to eat him, even with a river of Chianti.

Well it's sad you feel like that. We do have our fair share of loons, as I'm sure Sunderland do, but don't feel so bitter, you should be happy, it's only a game at the end of the day.

Chin up and have a great day at Wembley.

I'd love to see what Ross could do with a quality side, hopefully we'll get promoted and there'll be a good amount of investment because to be blunt he can only polish a turd so much and the championship is a big step up.

To me he looks like a top manager in the making.

A few scary moments, but that was pretty well controlled throughout. Met Smug & Mrs Smug there and that was definitely one of the best 0-0 draws I've been to!

Tbf, we've had flares launched at our women and children by your rabble and now one of your fans has literally attacked our player and threatened to come on the pitch and fight some more.

You are mistaken. The above facts make the win even more satisfying. Not bitter but it's nice to rub it in your faces after all that.

I think I'm getting that vibe!

I'm over it already, we were pretty awful which makes it easier to take.

Always the same drivel, as if that's a valid excuse.

Rog I haven't seen much of the lad this season. A bit earlier in the season and he seemed a bit slow......maybe he wasn't fit? What do you think has happened to the lad that has brought this better performance? More match fit, reads the game better or Jack has had more time to work with him? Just curious but this is great news!!!!

didn't put a foot wrong, didn't let them big **** forwards bully him, though they tried, he even won the ball more than them,he played some good footy, banged it out to safety when outnumbered instead of trying to be fancy, that pairing was pretty good, and should stop Charlton i hope, if he is reading this sorry Ozzie

I'm pleased Ross didn't risk McGeady in both matches as there is no doubt Jackett would have had his players target him and he could of ended up missing the start of next season never mind the final.
Same to a lesser extent for Watmore, Jack had a game plan and for once we stuck to it despite massive provocation, so Well done to the team and the fans who travelled, great night it was all about the result and our 400th draw this season was enough....happy days.

There were a few "come on Charlton" chants after the match, which I actually thought was quite funny. But their on-field diving and niggling were difficult to stomach. I also the ref was decent, which makes a change at this level. He wasn't great, but he seemed impartial enough.

I was down there at Christmas, when they beat our ten men, they did a lap of honour as if they'd won the league.

I stood there thinking, 'This will come back to haunt you.'

I was laughing as I watched them slink away last night ...

... 8 points clear of third place and you blew it <laugh>

They were both 1-1. In the first one I remember Arca was just starting to dictate the game until Gary Speed flattened him. THe 2nd one was near the start of a season. Philips score for us. Shearer came back from a long term injury for them

Ozturk was solid, good in both games bar the joke red.

Catts was weird last night, untidy football wise but proper lead the team I thought.

Really strange game, he was excellent almost by mentality, if that makes sense.

If one of our lot threw a flare at a stand with kids in, another one of our lot would likely slap the kid.

Verbals are fine and part and parcel, spitting and chucking objects is a ****ing liberty.

Booting a player who’s gone over a hoarding is dispicable, the fat prick.
