GC is 2nd favourite to take over Plymouth argyle as their new manager according to the WDP. Hope he stays with us after the job he has done in turning round our season

I don't think that I am really that fussed, I expect that there will be a fair crop of half tidy managers out there looking for an appointment during the summer months.

I wonder who the favourite is then for the Pilgrims job, Holloway ?, Darryl Clark ?, whoever I suppose but at least we won't have to put up with that whining porridge gobbler if they do manage to secure their league one status on Saturday.

I wouldn't be that fussed if he goes either. Only because there will be so many changes needed within the playing squad, it won't really effect the players much if he goes.

I hope GC stays because he's made a huge difference. We know from bitter experience that decent managers are very hard to find. GC's record speaks for itself, and we would have been pushing for the playoffs with that sort of form all season. I'm sure he won't jump ship just yet. If I was him I would carry on where he was given a chance and where he's wanted, not go to the club that rejected him a couple of times.

I want exciting and attacking football, the kind which I doubt GC can deliver. I was sick of boring ball in the air football before DC and he was a breath of fresh air. Either a new up and coming manager or Ollie would do me if GC were to go

If GC goes please can we have an up and coming manager, maybe a player who is leaving / retiring from a premier club and so would have connections where we could pick up quality loan players not someone who has had more clubs than Tiger Woods

There is a manager available who only had a couple of jobs so not a journeyman and he has had several promotions with his clubs. Still very young for a manager. His name is Darrell Clarke ;)

    How about Marcus Stewart?

The more I see and hear about Robbie Fowler, the more I feel he would do a good job. Good connections too that he could tap into.

His record in Australia wasn't that good someone said when DC was first sacked Think I read that DC was one of the favourites for the Walsall job

I think it would be hard to tempt young talented players from England to Australia. Would be easier to tempt them to us.

I do wish that so many of you are so depressive re our managers.
Many of us thought that DC had run his day, and there is nothing that would make me want him back, but I, like most of us, wish him our best wishes at Walsall. Current manager is already having ant views as he does not seem to play 'attractive football' but please bear in mind that the football style that was played got us to stay up.If we want attractive football, we need pace, not only via the wings but especially through the midfield, which is why I believe Linesy found no support from the manager. We can all review our outlook mid way next season.please.please leave any bearish ideas until at leas 12 games, and then rethink after another 10.Next season the spend available will mean so much.
One other minor, Captain Jack please amend your closing note, that joke is nearly as old as me and it has run its day

I personally didn't think DC had run his day when it was announced he was gone. I was 100% sure it was the wrong decision and we will pay for it. I thought the same will happen as when we got rid of Trollope, especially when it was announced we went for the cheap option of giving Coughlan the job. I thought we would go down. I was certain of it. I did though think the majority of the fans wanted DC gone.
Now after a lot of months later, where I can assess the situation better and put 2 and 2 together from what I have heard and seen, I do feel now it was the right thing to let DC go when we did. Even if we had still got relegated I would still now believe it was right to let DC go. I now think DC's downfall was that he let off the field issues distract his job. Promises was made to him, he turned down Leeds for us because he was under the impression our club matched his ambitions, but was let down. We know he was heavily frustrated by the lack of ambition or shall I say 'progress' with the clubs 'so called ambition'. I know he was frustrated due to his interviews when he was asked about off the field matters. Some times he was too honest with his answers and that put the owners in a bad light. In the end, as a result of how he felt let down by the club, I believe he fell out of love with Rovers and was only prepared to stay to fight for us fans, as he felt we deserved better than what we were getting from the club. I think he was mightily relieved when the club discussed a mutual termination of his contract and jumped at the chance to go. So at the time I thought we were wrong to let DC go. But looking at it now from a distance, I think it was the right time for both parties, maybe it should have happened a few months earlier. But I would take a refreshed DC back in a heartbeat.
I am very grateful to Coughlan for keeping us up. He proved me wrong. He said at the very beginning that some performances will not be pretty, so although some performances were exactly that, very poor, he told us that would happen, so I certainly wont use that to beat him with. I do hope though that next season, we wont need to use unpretty football. Although Coughlan has saved us by keeping us up but his 2 signings (Ogogo and JCH) so far have been excellent, for some reason, I just cant warm to him. I cant explain it yet but although I am truly grateful, I personally wouldn't miss him if he did decide to join Plymouth now. I would wish him well and be anxious/excited at who we get in next. But as he is still our manager and for as long as he is, I will support him. Even though I haven't warmed to him.

On reply to your minor note, I will try and find another joke. I was going to change it regularly but I am not on here as regular and forget its even there <ok>

There is a big difference between playing ****e footy to keep us up, and playing attacking football with intent to win. I don’t mind defeats if we play to win. I do not like boring/ negative football especially when results go against us. GC did well to keep us up but it doesn’t mean I want to watch his football week in week out for 2 years. It is entertainment business after all
