Paranoid guff. The fact is Leeds bottled it, weren’t good enough and seems some fans can’t accept it. Jeez we had enough wrong decisions in the PL to make you wonder if there was a conspiracy against City but we just got on with it and accepted we were just not quite good enough. Get over it.
I agree that Leeds bottled it, but Colin Moanock "just got on with it and accepted...." That's really rich!!
Janson fouled from behind near the half-way line just as the ref blew up. No freekick and Janson missed the next game or two injured. Cant remember who against. Also his comment on Sky when asked about the ref and he gets a fine and a ban. Might have been same match. That ref was especially poor.
Hi, I've posted here before as I've always had a soft spot for Leeds. Drove up every weekend for a long time from Norwich to see a girlfriend in Leeds. Loved the city, the people and had several good afternoons at ER. In the 70's Leeds were fantastic and as a kid loved watching on MOTD. However, I find it hard to believe in a conspiracy by EFL, FA and Sky to keep Leeds in the Championship. Every team can probably find any number of bad decisions that have had an affect on their season if you look hard enough. The truth it seems to me is that around Christmas Leeds and Norwich were probably the stand out teams up to that point. Leeds had a dramatic loss of form, Norwich did too but a bit later. Norwich rallied and kept their noses out of the s**t you guys didn't. Sheff U had a great run at the end of the season but if Leeds had maintained any kind of form you would have stayed ahead of them and could easily have been champions. That loss of form came from Leeds not from ref's putting games away for other teams. At Christmas, promotion was entirely in your own hands, not the gift of the EFL, FA and Sky. Personally I'm sad it's not you on automatic with Norwich and I hope you have a better season next time. I don't mind Sheff U, their own story is good and worth promotion but I'm not chuffed at seeing either Villa or FLDC going up. Sorry lads but I don't buy into the conspiracy stuff, your management or players either weren't up for it at the gritty end or they weren't good enough, you'll have to make that decision.
Sorry lads, I don't buy in to this conspiracy theory. 1st game against derby ref overturned a peno that he had given for starters. All clubs have these complaints throughout a season. As for VAR that can go bollox aswell, even after watching endless replays from 27 different angles no one agrees. Football is the most popular game in the world, leave it alone, we don't need microscopic 8 k cameras and the ball measured if it was over the line by some james bondesque technolgy borrowed from NASA What goes around comes around, and we can have some good discussion in the pub after.
Really Ringo ? You get away with murder, the amount of linesmen hit with bottles by Millwall fans, the amount of false penalties you get the only club found guilty of breaking ffp that got nothing, no fine, no 9 point deduction, nothing at all.
I don't believe the EFL or FA sit down with the refs and decide Leeds should remain in this division. I believe the standard of refs is poor and it's always easier to magnify your own clubs injustices, I was speaking with a Forest fan the other day who was still upset about Roofes handballl goal I do however believe when dishing out punishment the EFL panel are harder on us than they are others.
There could be something in that. If the same people are involved from the EFL over a period of time they could well be pi****d off at the attitude of some of your previous owners, papa smurf springs to mind.
its the sign of the times Chesh, you've got to back down to the minorites, its not politically correct to question or punish them
I've met a guy who does the f a panels and the appeals, he's a Stoke fan, hates Leeds and calls us dirty Leeds. He happily told me he had done some Leeds charges etc, never told me how he voted but listening to him and his opinion of Leeds, he didn't have too.
No we don't think we are too good but we do aspire to be in a higher league. If you lot are happy in the championship, then good for you.
