Fair play to Lampard. Debut season in a league that's very difficult to get out of. Yes he's had the fortune of loaning players like Mount & Wilson but you need all the help you can get. Id rather see Derby go up than Villa.
That's my face. For all those Hull & EY Whites, who rather than supporting their local team chose TWS. Funny how they didn't chose another Yorkshire club like say York. Inadequate glory hunters. I hope their (relative) misery continues for decades more.
I actually agree with what you said, I wouldn't be bothered if we never went up again, but seeing them post about it is too funny atm
You've got to blame the Leeds keeper for that calamity. I'd never blame a Hull lad, even if Cooper was culpable.
I really enjoyed watching last night, and it was an excellent performance and achievement by Derby. BUT, they haven't actually won / achieved anything yet. I remember the greatest captain in English football often saying "don't let you highs be too high, or your lows be too low". I hope they go up .... and Tommy stars in the final as his curtain call .... but it seemed a bit OTT and premature. Or just me (and Ash) who are miserable buggers?
I don't think it is OTT or premature - they're just giving back the stick Leeds gave to them across the season. I'd do the same. That Oasis chant they made just a few days ago came back to bite them on the arse superbly, and the Derby fans and players have taken full advantage. This isn't about Derby actually getting promotion - it's about denying Leeds' theirs.
There's even a gooner nipped along for a nibble. To be fair, it hasn't gone as I expected, and I'm agreeing with a fair amount of the replies, but I'd never admit that in public.
Hopefully this latest self-destruct job will herald another summer of chaos before they win the league again in September
A quick assessment of the replies from some of their posters leaves me thinking they need to restructure their financial model, and instead of investing in new players, they should focus on buying more refs.
I think that's actually a fair point if I'm honest. My opinion is formed from the ones I've met round here over the years, and I don't doubt that's coloured my view when I read comments from other Leeds fans and the opinions of fans of other clubs that seem to be pretty similar across the divisions. Having said that, it has helped make the results and reactions over the decade or so funny to watch.
The risk of being a plastic is that you hitch a ride on the trendy team of the day, never thinking one day that this team will be a laughing stock, a dud and a byword for deluded decline. Deep down most of these vermin plastics must know it's over - the train's left the station decades ago, and it's never coming back. Someone tell me these plastics know this please?
