Cooper clears ball before haftime, we win. Keeper was to blame IMO, Philips/ keeper who is at fault? Agree Cooper pulling shirt wrong, but how many games do players get away with that.
And now we have to listen to stop crying Bielsa songs all fookin summer. Yes they've changed the words all ready
No it’s a Westmeath one. We’ve our own lingo down here. For the record. I’ve had two adult daughters crying tonight after that result and 86 year old dad devastated. So anyone call me plastic I’ll feckin busrst em
Emotions riding high tonight and understandably. My take on the season. On the whole it’s been great. We’ve played the best football we’ve seen for years and finished 3rd. To temper that we lost the winning knack. Bielsa would say our performances in April were the same as those in August. The stats would back him up. But we developed a soft underbelly and converted fewer chances. In my view these things are connected. Confidence in team sports is a strange thing... defences get nervier when the goals dry up at the other end etc. Nothing happens in isolation. Injuries and a thin squad took their toll as we had no backup players of quality to create or take chances. Honestly, hand on heart, I don’t feel we’ve had the rub of the green, and you do need it. But taking chances and not gifting goals are key ingredients in a successful side and we lacked them. The old adage that a good side avoids defeat when they’re not playing well, hasn’t applied to us. We dominated and lost too often. Something else happened too I think. For all Bielsa is a genius he has strengths and weaknesses... he’s a very intense guy and a very stubborn one. It’s all very well demanding a strict diet and fitness routine, having players with young families staying in hotels before home games etc.... These sacrifices are ok when you’re winning. But when you’re losing? What does sticking with the same players, when you’re losing, do for squad morale? Does an intense ocd personality lend itself to motivating a team to get over the line at the business end of the season, v someone who can empathise/hairdryer People look for player burnout with Bielsa as a reason for his sides not getting over the line.... but maybe it’s a combination of other factors between the ears.
I've met him many times Eire, first time at a Wendies away game. I've no **** with him. Always thought I got on with him. But if you think there is a clique on here. You/glory/jammy/nick/marcos are certainly one
That can’t be right as the others are all either banned or binned. Maybe we were all one account and fooled everyone
Just got home from then game had a good few pints to drown my sorrows, i'm ****ing devastated, firstly, Casilla is a ****ing liability, we went down the pan when he joined, Bamford should never wear a Leeds shirt again and Bielsa needs to grow a pair of bollocks and tell the FL what the majority of Leeds fans have been saying for years, they are bent, corrupt bastards, that ****ing manc ref was a disgrace, I said this weeks ago, we will be ****ed over by the FL and referees, I was right. rant over
It was hard for him to put the ball in the stand with the keeper jumping on top of him. Casilla stopped started and stopped again. Both have to take some blame. Cooper’s had a great season but like Berardi, he has those emotional high jack moments. Tonight of all nights we needed a clear head and some leadership. We got Berardi casilla and cooper. And our talisman pablo obviously thought we were still playing in blue. Bamford was, well Bamford. Everyone else did ok I thought.
In fairness. I met all the others at recent outings and as you know all good blokes. Not on here for one reason or another but glory’s not the reason as far as I’m aware
