Just a little better today, weather wise, than this time last week, don't you think? As York is on the telly, I'll put these up as my selections ( no money for now, just for fun, ho ho ): 1.50 Stealth Fighter 2.25 Sandra's Secret 15.00 Yafta 15.35 Entitle They're also at Newton Abbott, blimey, so one there too: 2.10 Tamarillo Grove ( big Congrats to TRFC for getting to Wembley in a 2nd consecutive play off final - anything can happen )
Have had a little ew on Dubai Blue for the Oaks at 200/1 so I'm hoping for a good run today in the Musidora
Barney- devastating news - the Jeremy Kyle show is no more. No further episodes will be made and the repeats on itv2 are being scraped and you now cant even watch an episode on itv hub. Appreciate a bitter pill to swallow - just hope that doesn't put you off your stride today old bean..
afternoon, gents! york,3 00: its always tough, when two of your favourite horses run in a race,in this case INVINCIBLE ARMY and limato.both are are high-profile performers, and theres very little between them on class, but the former might have a fitness edge today,so that swings it narrowly onto him,at least for today..
Great show from Invincible Army there and he's well worth a poke at Group 1 class after that showing. He was 20/1 for The Diamond Jubilee this morning but understandably that price has gone. Well worth a bet at the revised odds of 12/1 though and it will take a good one to stop him this season. Diamond Jubilee Invincible Army 12/1
I’ve never actually seen a single episode of his TV prog – although I suspect that a few on here might have been the subject of a few series of it! Have heard the old boy on the wireless though and must confess he is very, very good in that sphere.
Money came for Sparkle Roll but she was dire. Not for the first time she just looked really slow and she looks a bust already. It was a blanket finish with Nausha getting the best of it. The bit went through her mouth the last time she ran but while taking nothing away from her, this looked a mediocre race and we probably saw the best fillies earlier this season. I would imagine the fav for the Oaks will shorten after this race.
That was dire today, perhaps she needs mud, and perhaps SIX miles. Gosden had more or less ruled her out of the Oaks already and you could see why. She looked awkward last time but the trainer had said a track like York would suit her better. Probably not a horse who would win any war medals.
Grendel, I told you the Space Blues maiden was one of the slowest run maidens last year, which is why he looked so impressive in a short sprint against a middle distance horse, not surprising at all that he is a 7f horse like his dam. Space Blues was 8/1 last night, too short now at 5/2 for top weight in a field this size. I think The Night Watch 6/1 is well in off 83 and with Fallons claim hes getting well over a stone from the fav.
I never saw the fields until this morning and did Space Blues at 7/2. I felt he was potentially well handicapped off 93. The jockey gave him an awful ride today and he went from one side of the track to the other in search of a run. Once he got a clear run it was all over rather quickly and his handicap mark is sure to exceed 100 after that. I got my Derby money back and more today and the horse may do better in time.
I don't think so. There's a lot of good teams down there and there's a big question mark over there finances when hopefully the judgement goes against them trying to sneak out of the Sala deal. I can see a couple of their better players being picked off in the summer, too. Horrible club.
