Oops, missed that! What got me thinking was having watched The lunchtime Rangers match, I wondered what fans of teams other than Celtic & Rangers think. It's almost a complete waste of time going to the match as you know by & large what the outcome is going to be before the game even kicks off. And following that Man. U. then demolished Bolton at the Reebok. I'd hate for us to end up with a similar scenario as Scotland.
I can't see anyone finishing above the two manchester teams. Then I can't really see anyone other than Chelsea finishing 3rd. After that, there may be a few battling for 4th...probably Liverpool/Spuds...and possibly a surprise like Stoke. After that there are a few mid table teams and then a few battling to stay up. So I suppose there are 4 different sections, although I don't think there's a massive gulf in class after the two Mancs. Although I suppose that does make us a bit like Scotland in that regard!!
You know what they say about youth and power Houston 2! As for the green dots, I lost mine too when the new server went in on deadline day. The site owners have acknowledged the fault but there's only two of them and with that comes the inevitable over-loaded in-tray... Anyone with surplus green dots, please chuck them over to Texas! As a gentleman, I'll wait for the delivery of a fresh supply.
Earlier today had aquick look on the Norwich board to see how they feel about their sides performance so far. Most feel they have been hard done by etc etc, however "Superman wears......." has posted a thread along the lines that he has basically dislikes the PL and although he is happy that Norwich are in the top flight he is not overly bothered if they are relegated back to the Championship as the win at all costs mentality, cheating etc is not what he wants from going to watch football and i must admit i kind of share that view. Any others feel the same?
I do miss some aspects of the Championship - there are some good teams there and great encounters - and I like the way anyone can beat anyone else on the day. That last doesn't seem to apply to the Prem where the two Manchester team are creating clear water between themselves and the rest. I can't see that changing much over the season.
Very much so Tramore. The PL's only becoming interesting to me now that we have a bit of financial muscle to develop our ability to compete and stay up. Why? Because PL survival is a major income stream - especially for a small club like ours. Common denominator? Not team / club spirit as at other levels... CASH. So I completely empathise with the Norwich view about Championship football. In our case, we've been lucky to get the owners we now have, and with it players who give us some chance of competing at this level. Having said that, I do notice that Norwich and Swansea don't seen to be 'ya-booing' us anymore... thought all that was a bit crass given our hopelessly negative circumstances during the summer. Never rated people who kick a man when he's down... seems an acceptable norm nowadays though tbh.
Agreed Brix but the gulf between the top 2 and the next 4 or so is becoming large and between the rest of the league is now so large that we will probably never catch up, thats why i feel the PL is too predictable we all know who is likely to win it and be runners up so why are we putting ourselves through this in a league that i doubt we will ever have a chance of winning(of course i hope i'm wrong).
At the moment I think United and City are above everybody else, not too far behind them is us and than way way behind is a mini-league consisting of Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs. Those teams aside there is a lot of catching up to do although I believe Stoke and maybe Villa/Everton could run Spurs etc close

Living in Norfolk as I do, all I'm hearing is wall to wall bleating about the penalty That was, & the one that wasn't yesterday. They do have a case though! Agree that there is a certain charm about the Championship. But the PL is where we want to be, isn't it?

Calm down chaps,it's still very early days, and while Utd and City look like Brazil 1970 at the moment, shocks will happen along the way and who's to say it won't be us that hands out a mind boggling defeat to Sir Alex.Sure there are huge divides between sides in this league, but you just have to try and stay in it to begin with.We had a great year last season in the Championship, and there are elements of it i miss, but would i want to be in it this year or the Premiership, well i don't really need to answer that do i!
Last season Chelski were blazing the trail and look how their wheels fell off. Just hope it happens to both Mancs teams just before they play us!!
I agree. It shows a complete lack of character and good will. Although I reckon a lot of the WUM's are little more than kids judging by their use of grammar. Either that or they're just thick.
