Last Thursday morning on the Jeremy Vine radio 2 show they where talking about the emotion release at football . He said it's a male thing and not what women do ! A woman from Portsmouth rang up and said she disagreed with him ! She is a Spurs fans and was crying with emotion from previous night and her 2 lads where the same the night before as they are Liverpool fans ! Do you think they where Hull FC fans ??
Don't know the answer to your last question But the answer to the question " Are they a set of sad twats?" Would be yes.
True. But worse in some areas than others. And Hull, and East Yorkshire, is worse than most. And the FC and Rovers fans who support football clubs from another area are the worst of the lot.
I think most premier League football fans are just that football fans . Most don't really bother with RL
In Hull they do. The bloke who used to run the FC forum had " Hull FC and Leeds United - Pride Of Yorkshire" as his signature. One of the mods on that site had the FC and Liverpool badges entwined and underneath "Old Faithful, You'll Never Walk Alone" . A poster off here asked a bunch of blokes cheering on Liverpool in the Queens in the lunchtime kick off when City were at home later that day in the PL why didn't they support their local team. They replied " We do support our local team - Rovers". They then told him as he was on his own he ought to shut up and **** off. Someone else who used to post on CI, and occasionally posts on here, and who he didn't know at the time, went across and informed them he wasn't on his own in a way which made them the ones who shut up. Rugby fans who support clubs from elsewhere are quite numerous in Hull.
The worst I’ve seen was a pub full of City fans at a pub outside Wembley for the FA Cup Semi & Liverpool were playing,Everton I think, & the whole pub erupted cheering when Liverpool scored. I finished my pint & left!
It was Man City, one of the group I was with (boyfriend of a mates daughter) was watching it on his bloody phone in the pub.
Same scenes on the Wembley concourse - ****s in City replica shirts going mad at a Liverpool goal, I doubt the same was happening at the dee dars end of the ground.
It's the big one tonight St Mirren v Hamilton Academical (did this ****ing iPad not like that name ) St Mirren need to win, the Accys only need to draw. Everyone's second club aren't they the Accys??? My old man always used to ask how they'd done on the tel printer
'Unseen Academicals' is a brilliant novel by the late great Terry Pratchett. It's very good indeed and it's about footy. You have an iPad? Flash ****er...
My 2 lads' are now getting restless, asking if they can 'support' Man City now after we watched it yesterday (Only to gloat at the plastic Scourers) l took them to Boothferry Park(sort of) and told them what it all meant to me. I don't know if l got through to them. Just **** off Allams.
Saw some footage on MOTD2 last night of the crowd at Anfeltch as news filtered through of BHA;s goal...then later of MCFC going ahead. Some of the crowd reacted, understanding the meaning of the goals, but many foreign shirter types looked on oblivious like they had no idea what was going on. Gegenpissing at its finest.
The money you spent on the "Lip Reading & Body Language Interpretation' course was well spent, it seems.
In the gym I'm surrounded by blokes who 'support' Spurs, Man Utd, Liverpool. All Hull blokes. All of them are so dense they would struggle to find the three grounds. Its been like this for decades and won't ever chance. In the FA Cup final a 'City fan' was slagging off Liam Rosenior. Until I told him he had a hammy. He didn't have a clue. He was a clueless egg-chasing moron moonlighting as a City fan.
