Funny what little interest headlines like this drums up in 2019. I guess everyone has just had enough.

If true, surely Duffen thinks he can get a deal over the line. Not everyone's cup of tea but he'd do for me right now. Things need to get moving soon. How many times have we said that?

It's generating little interest, because it basically says there's nothing happening.

I think the lack of interest as Baldrick said is very telling. The stories regarding a potential takeover just arnt enough anymore. How many times have we almost been taken over, only for it to collapse for various reasons.

For me personally, Im not getting my hopes up. Everything will change one day when I check the latest City news to find out that a takeover has been completed, but until then....

Duffen undoubtedly wants to run Hull City again, but any reports of him 'being interested' should be taken with a pinch of salt. If he could generate the money he surely would have done so by now. It just seems the Allams use him to try to whip up interest, or take the pressure off the non-sale. If we get £30m in this summer in transfer fees (therefore knocking the price down to a more reasonable figure) I'll maybe start to pay attention to such stories, but until that point there's nothing happening.

There is interest though. There is a concrete offer, but not at current asking price. They're happy to sit and wait until it is c£20m

Assem Allam will never sell whilst there is money to be made out of Hull City (his one & only reason for buying the club in the first place). He doesn't want the debt to be reduced/cleared as he's making millions in interest payments every year off it. He will do the bare minimum to keep the club trading & keep taking the easy money. We are stuck with him & his clueless son for years to come. Allam's PR company trot out the "potential sale" story every few months but it's total rubbish & the old man is laughing all the way to the bank. Truly depressing.

They have had more their initial investment back in dividends, salaries, management charges, tax relief and loan interest.
They could leave tomorrow without a loss but they will cream another £20-£25m in player sales this summer and then hope to offload us before the season starts (when they will start losing money every week) for £20-£25m giving them an overall profit of £50m

Do you think they or anyone should do it for no salary or management charge??
Or charge interest on a loan?

Yeah I think they shouldn't take a management charge.

All they're doing is actively running the club down. Is that deserving of a six figure annual sum? Is it ****. They pay themselves what they can get away with paying themselves because they're extremely privileged. Yes that's how the world is, but get to **** making out like it isn't a ****s trick.

It is what it is. Climb down out of your ivory tower son.
You may be disappointed when the next owners don't give a billion quid in and expect nothing back.

I suppose there reaches a point where if you've taken back the initial outlay and then made a tidy profit on it too, knowing the strength of feeling against you and your tenure, the ethics of business should click in and you should make every effort to sell. Considering they don't really need to make any further profit, they should "sell for £1 in 24hours".

I do not begrudge anyone the right to profit form their business enterprises nor do I have a problem with interest on loans so long as it's made clear to anyone with a vested interest that it is a loan and not a gift. Likewise, as I mentioned in a different thread about Bolton, no one should have to work for nowt. I don't therefore begrudge the Allams taking a wage that is reflective of their efforts in running the club (no jokes there please, I'm sure it's harder that it looks).

The problem lies with their inability to lie straight in bed and their total lack of respect for their customers coupled with a disconnect from how normal work-a-day people live their lives.

You might have noticed that they have made it quite difficult for a lot of families to attend due to a skewed pricing structure.

They are disconnected. They haven't a clue what it's like to live on nothing and if they do, they've forgotten. They make sweeping statements about fans sneaking in on concession tickets without actually providing evidence (I'm open to seeing that btw if that's a real thing) or questioning whether that's indicative of an already too costly pricing structure. Allam came in on a cloud of promises, saying that "football should be free" and his version of low cost impacted on people that already struggle.

That's why he doesn't know what it's like for working people.

    Wtf yourself, you beg.
