Not his fault, but his injury has robbed him of an obvious couple of yards of pace so he is not nearly as effective as he was.

Will always give 100% and spill blood for the cause, not disputing that and I love the bloke, but to go forward I don`t think he, amongst others at the back, is now at the standard we need.

I think we thought he would be the returning hero and our frailties at the back would be athing of the past. Maybe without his knackered achilles he would, but not anymore imo.

Agreed. He looks slow. I thought it may be post injury rustiness but he's not improved to date.

Its worse when Odea passes it across the pitch to him watching him chase that ball across is painful

Can't believe we gave him a 2 year deal! I mean we hadn't seen him play a competitive game since his injury. A one year deal with the option for an extension would have be fine. We still have O'Brien, Kisnorbo, Bromby and Bruce under contract until 2013.

Either in January or at the end of the season, we need to get in a proper, quality centreback and ship out one of these.

I was thinking about writing a simular article last night. Its a shame as many Leeds fans thought that he would be one that made the step up with ease. Maybe its not just the injury or the timeout of the game perhaps its the standard the Championship at the moment. Or maybe a combination of the two, but one things for sure he doesnt look the same player :(

I think you will find I said don't rely on Kissa coming back because I didn't think he would be the same player, and I was right...

ooo I have that smugness right about now ;)

    :headbang: Bring back the bandage.....

The bandage was to Kissa what the hair was to Samson

He just is not the same without it....

He's still only played less than 10 competitive games returning from a serious, serioius injury.

I'm hoping this is the issue and he'll grow as the season goes on... He is a class bloke, as Phil says, and he has put in some fantastic performances in the past. We just need him now, unfortunately :-(

The problem is training I think. It's obvious noones teaching them how to coordinate together properly. Doesn't matter who we bring in they always seem to end up ****.

I'm giving Kissa a few more games in my Texaco team, if he doesn't buck up i'm transferring him, he's costing me dearly.

I'm keeping him in my team on the basis that a clean sheet must be getting nearer..........

Best is the only one of those we should move out. Kissa still has plenty to offer, as does Bromby. I'd still like to see Bruce given a chance, even off the bench. He may not talk to his dad much, but I'd hate to see him moved on & then come back to haunt us.

On Kisnorbo, how quick is Lees? If he is fairly lively, then Kisnorbo/Lees would be ideal. Kisnorbo provides the commitment & passion from which Lees can learn. Lees in turn then provides the speed.

Good call Boggers. Who is the defensive coach? They don't seem to be doing much good right now.

I dont think it is to do with lack of games, he has just obviously lost the ability to run at a reasonable pace. He still reads the game just as well, just cant do anything about it to get there in time!

Lees is a CB by trade, and a good one. Personally would like to see him play there with O'Dea before his confidence goes as he struggled at RB on Sat and was visibly unsettled.

would be quote happy to have Connolly back at RB as I don`t think he ever did much wrong, it was that lump O'Brien that played countless hospital balls to him, or passes straight to the striker stood near him, that made Connolly struggle.
