So starting at beginning.

Alisson. 10/10 season. Golden gloves and imo better then Ederson. Mealy mouth bitters pick Ederson
Taa. 10/10 season, has grown during it and improved defensively.the passes and assists however.. wow
Robertson 10/10, consistent, energy, assists
Matip 8/10. Has really improved with games. Massive impact.
Gomez 7/10. Really good half season at cb. Injury curtailed it.
Fabinho. 8/10. Maybe even harsh. Took his time to settle and learn formation but has settled.
Henderson 8/10 not been involved as much til moved to non8. Immense last 1/4
Windy 7/10. Can't play away but sometimes brilliant.
Milner 7.5/10. Mr consistent, Mr versitile
Salah 7.9/10. At times brilliant, at times selfish, posts of goals and assists.
Mane 9/10 absolutely outstanding. Breakout season even.
Firmino. 7/10. Probably not as good as last season but work rate was high and at times he found his form.

Poty. Vvd. 10/10 every week, every game. Utterly brilliant player


I'm quite proud of that season. 97 points is 3rd highest ever total. End of. We did our absolute best

I think you'll find city are outstanding side who've done something phenomenal and had to do it cos we were outstanding too.

 

They're a state funded front.

 

Fair play to City, we didn't do much wrong but this is now the standard to win the league. We have to take the points of them next season.

 

The lads can be proud of themselves. Brilliant season, 97 points and still not winning the league is unbelievably rough.
Anyway, lets make sure we mash the spuds - and onwards and upwards next season.

 

I must say that I believe that the points total and the wins we had had something to do with the fact that we were chasing City. If we were at the front I am not sure we could have maintained that relaxed and relentless run. It was as if there was absolutely no pressure on our players.

Great great season but not to be champions is absolutely soul destroying. I was so confident that we got the title this season at last.
