Imagine what will happen to this thread after tomorrow when we have 92 days until our next match rather than 8 :emoticon-0102-bigsm

So much for thread discipline! I might actually have to logging on and apply a few rules around here.
And anyway, my dislike of puns is well known on here. Should I start issuing thread bans? I’ll mullet over.

Only if you drank 75 pints on a night out!

I used to go out into my 20s with a fiver and drink myself senseless. By then it was 40p a pint for bitter, 44p for lager.

I took the same party tin to about 12-15 parties at Uni. Used it to get through the door, then I'd sit on it all evening and take it home.

When I started work it astounded me that people actually brought drink to parties.

1975, 14 years old in the Gratham Arms, Eastleigh, was tall for my age, 14 pence for a pint of brown ale. Hated it, but had no idea of what l was ordering other than l thought it might make me seem older than l was!

Edit: Dubai, 2019, 59 years old, £10.00 for a pint of Stella. ****! How times have changed!

The first drink I bought in a pub was in the Royal Oak in Charlton, just outside Andover. The year was 1969, I was 15, and the beer (Strongs Bitter IIRC) was 1s/5d for a whole pint. That’s 7p in today’s currency, but my pocket money was only half-a-crown a week. Later when I got a Saturday job my income went up to 30s, and beer reached the dizzying heights of 1/10 due to Mr Heath taxing the poor.

Yeah, strange end to the season in a way. Somewhat similar to last year but definitely different. Last game, last year I was so up for beating or at least getting a draw from MCity - this year I’m again really “interested” in MCity & praying they win. As for Saints; Ralph please finish on a high today & then the real challenge begins; getting rid of deadwood & reinvesting better than of late.
