Mitrovic has got about 14.5 xG if you're into that. You're probably right. Che is more likely (and half the price). Mitrovic should go to Everton or somewhere.
My Newcastle mate reckons they got rid of Mitrovic for two reasons. Firstly he wasn't consistent enough. He was either unplayable or invisible. Secondly, he was as likely to get sent off as score. He reckoned we were well to avoid another Osvaldo.
The push and pull right now is that we score goals despite lacking a lot of players who are notably good at scoring, with our biggest problem being our defensive fragility. However, it's also not unreasonable to conclude that our defense was cursed by a fickle god to run in random directions when the ball is played into the box, so perhaps we need to score many many goals because 3-1 is an invitation to disaster.
His very first match for Newcastle was against us, and he very nearly got a red card after about 30 seconds for trying to break Matt Targett’s leg.
I said it on here a few months ago; Rafa made it very clear last summer that Newcastle sold Mitrovic because he didn't offer the workrate which Rafa required. Rafa acknowledged that Mitrovic could score, but that wasn't enough. If he doesn't offer the workrate which Rafa requires, there's zero chance of him offering the workrate which Ralph requires. I'm not even sure why his name is being mentioned.
Well I've just been told by a couple of people that I hold in pretty high regard to knowing a little in the club tht we have a good backing for this window. But you never know with Saints
I was told by someone that I hold in disregard that aliens from Alpha Ceti are controlling our politics through a chip in Princess Anne's right femur. So it could go either way, really.
No. The lizardmen are much better on the ball than that. The extra legs help, as does the ability to rotate their necks nearly 180 degrees. Poor when the temperatures cool, though.
