Hello everyone, As you can tell from the subtle username, I run TigerTube - everyone's 2nd favourite Hull City YouTube video archive. If you're not aware of it please feel free to check it out here and immerse yourself in lots of a old City nostalgia: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjA5CVkVZDq4xhCyzgj9q0g The reason for posting is simply I'm after more archaic footage on old technology to convert and host on the channel for all to view. I've been at this for nearly a decade now and most of the footage has come from obsolete VHS cassette tapes that have been collecting dust for a number of years but I'm sure there might be even more out there. For example, I only I acquired the tapes I used to put together a tribute video for Pete Skipper recently so even so many years into accumulating footage I feel there's no harm in asking now. I believe I've now got the bulk of club issued tapes from the 90s and beyond, the For or Against... series of season reviews etc however I know there's the club recorded games throughout the 80s that might've potentially be released at some point and are still be out there. I've found the real gold has been on things people have taped from the telly and packed away in the loft. The old Memorex or Scotch cassettes marked 'City' have contained such varied things as Don Robinson proclaiming we'll play on the Moon to a Look North feature following Adam Pearson on his first day at City. If you think you've got anything that might be of interest please reply below or message me. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Thank you both! Providing Article 13 doesn’t decimate YouTube like it threatens to hopefully they’ll be there for many years to come.
It's the new EU directive that makes YouTube responsible for copyrighted content being shared on its platform.
I'm not sure the video tapes in my cases match the box covers......I used to hate it when you pressed pause and you got a big line right across the areas you wanted to look at...........
I'm sure you'll already have a copy of 'Waggy and Chillo' but if not you're welcome to mine (signed!!!)
There was a bloke called Pete on the old City Independant, think he posted as Boothferry Legend - he had loads of old stuff.
Iv'e seen 4K tele. It's a very sharp picture quality, but it's...there's something wrong about it. Sorry folks, but that's my review, because I can't really explain it. There's just something wrong.
I agree. I think it's just too sharp, almost like 3D but not. Hard on the eye imo, or maybe it's just harder on older eyes (which I have, I'm sad to say...).
I have HD and I love it, but watching 4K is just annoying. My mate has it and of course I told how impressed I was, a white lie does no harm.
You’re talking ****e. How can 4K too sharp or annoying. It’s got much greater clarity, a far clearer and smoother image.
Thank you Kitto although I do indeed already have a copy of that little gem. Waggy and Chillo pre-date my City supporting by 20 years but watching that I'm in awe at quite how slick the team from that era was going forward.
How wonderful to watch that, I started watching City in 1958 and nearly all the games shown I was at, and what a delight to see them all again.
