I have backed horses at shortish prices before but also at massive odds each way. I generally do not back one at each way if below 5/1. If the number of runners is 6 or below I would normally go with a win bet obviously but I love nothing more than to seek out the each way value in a race. I would rather go home with something rather than nothing. Look out for my 'Saturday each way special' in a few days time. There's a big heritage handicap race at Ascot that I am quite likeing the look of for seeking out that VALUE.
THE EMIRATES POULE D'ESSAI DES POULICHES update. The going is described as very soft. 10 runners declared. Suphala is drawn 4 and East is drawn 10 -Grrrrr.- though relatively small field may not matter too much. Not too many of this field will have experienced this type of going although Watch me has won on heavy and East has won on soft. I backed East to win our guineas -but did my dough. Hope to get it back on Sunday - had £100 at 9/1 short as 11/2 now
