I have a bit,but not too badly I hope. I was a season ticket holder when we went down to l1,and remember well what a horrible feeling it was. You will be back in the championship at the first time of asking, I am sure
Anyone watching the parade? How funny is Kenny McLean! No problem with hangovers, these guys are still partying. So they should
Has Kenny got a nearly empty bottle of whiskey or something already!? Oh, here he is again. This lad is going to be trouble today!
In his six points about the Villa match, MB provides this amazing statistic about Mario Vrancic: "In the end, City's 29-year-old Bosnian started 14 of 46 league games, came off the bench for another 22 – yet clocked 10 goals and 9 assists." He also points out that in a side in which no player other than Tettey has PL experience, Tim Krul has 150 PL appearances. That could prove to be very important next season, especially as he saw all of the PL teams at Brighton last season except Wolves. https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/6-things-learned-aston-villa-win-and-champions-1-6034379
So of the 93 goals scored, 5 players scored roughly 66% of them. As for Pukki, he scored almost 33% on his own!!!
Rhodes also had a hat-trick in the cup, JMF, scoring his 6 goals in 9 starts and 27 sub appearances. Marriott scored his 7 goals in 19 starts and 14 sub appearances. Next time maybe opt for Pukki!
For anybody puzzled about references on here to our success in the early 90s, MB highlights the parallels between then and now: https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/ruel-fox-on-norwich-city-success-and-youth-1-6039738 An unfancied team full of players out of the youth setup shocked everybody when they led the premier league for much of the season, eventually finishing in third place. The following year they did it again and added European glory as well when they knocked out Bayern Munich in Munich. This really does feel similar.

David Freezer has compiled his own statistics for our championship season with the most important being this: "One of the most telling though, which illustrates the incredible improvements from finishing 14th last season, is 57pc of City's shots coming from inside the penalty area, the second highest in the league, and 35pc from outside the box, the fifth lowest. Last season it was a different story. Just two teams averaged fewer shots from inside the box than the Canaries' 47pc but no team attempted more than the 48pc of shots from outside the area. In other words, City have been a lot closer to goal when they've tried to score. Amid many stats, perhaps football is still a simple game after all." That difference has been evident as the FBs have bombed forward to provide width so Hernandez and Buendia have been able to get into the penalty area more. The other factor has been the movement in the front four players as they switch sides or drop back to pull opposition defenders out of position, with Stiepermann often the one to take advantage of the space created. Opposition CBs have found it much harder to mark Pukki, Hernandez and Buendia as they all keep moving inside the penalty area. The previous season Oliveira got into the area far less and seldom did we have 3 players in there. Credit to DF and his coaches for bringing the change about. The addition of Pukki and Buendia has also been a key factor and credit to SW for that. Full article here: https://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/norwich-city-championship-stat-attack-1-6040107
Where were the 8% of shots from which were neither from outside the box nor inside the box?? (EDIT: read the article Rob...) Joking aside, this is interesting but also surprising. I certainly felt from a non-scientific view like we were much more dangerous from outside the box this season than we have been previously, with our goals coming from there regularly (as well as lots of chances in the box). It would be interesting to know how that stacks up.
IMO, one of the major differences this season has been that we rarely see just one NCFC player in the box when we're attacking (something you nearly ALWAYS see in the PL!!).
