I do own a snazzy pair of Lederhosen which I bought at Konigsee while on holiday in Berchtesgaden however my kilt wearing days, commando or boxered, have long past!
Premiership was some spectacle this season and I almost feel a bit sorry for the scousers (I said almost). A few more games and then a break for a little while for the pros before pre season kicks in. Contrast that with my little lad who has just finished his first season in under 8s. The coaches want them to carry on training throughout the summer. It's a common theme as I've looked at what other junior teams are doing locally. This is madness. Burn the kids out before they hit their teens and sod summer sports. Suffice to say my lad is having a break from football for the summer. **** these cretins.
I missed the first 3 days of the May Sumo tournament, so I'll post them all below. I hope it doesn't cause too much pain. You have to feel for Enho who has to give away so much weight to everyone. He's the first fight on the opening day. The second and third clips are in Japanese, but the info for each bout is brilliant.
The little fella Enho had to give away 180 pounds in his bout today, it's always amazing to see him in action. He went in today with 2 wins and a loss.
Agree 100%, one hell of a game. Although only League 2 in England and Wales, this 'Championship' is a heck of a tough old league to be in. The playoff Final will be well-worth watching.
Dear oh dear, this childish Leeds/Derby squabble is hardly a good advertisement for Association Football. So-called 'fans' acting like a bunch of kids, rather spoiling a couple of fine playoff semi-final games? https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48293097
Little Enho went into day 5 having lost only the one bout. As usual he had to spot his opponent a huge amount of weight. 84 pounds this time. He can't match anyone for strength, so relies on speed and agility. This is his first tournament, but is already becoming a crowd favourite. Abi's super fast hands to the throat is amazing.
WTF? 5:16 into the clip, Enho, far and away the smallest man in senior sumo, takes on an opponent who outweighs him by 174 pounds. He does what seems to be the unforgivable, instead of dancing around, he goes for the belt. And there was a mammoth battle between the recently demoted Georgian Tochinoshin (who needs 10 wins to be promoted to his Ozeki status) and the 500 pound Ichinojo. 21 minutes into the clip.
Here's a strange but interesting race that took place at the Yokohama IAAF World Relays last weekend. It's a relay race run over 2x2x400. That's 2 runners per team (one male, one female) with each running the 400m twice. Each team can run their athletes against the opposite sex. The title of the clip 4x2x400 is wrong. It's actually 2x2x400.
Tough one for Watford in today's FA Cup Final, but good luck to them! Did a great job in reaching the Final.
I'm just going to enjoy every minute of it. Days like this don't come along very often for clubs like ours. It's highly unlikely but...
Best of luck Dan As City won the league, are Watford automatically qualified for the Europa League next season, win or lose today?
Cheers Oddy. We only go through if we win - and as I understand that would mean Manchester United have to start their campaign in mid July. If City win it will be Wolves going through
Well the Cup Final wasn't an easy watch. Was still an excellent day out and City showed us total respect - by destroying us! Was very proud of our support though - we might never get another shot so pleased we really got behind the team regardless of the result. We have still had a very very good season.
