Gambling - yes, spunked my cash on the slots and Blackjack, sorry African American Jack. Drugs - did none myself but the whole place stunk of weed, recently been made legal and the town is full of stoners now Whores - naw but I noted the Mexican touts were fewer and more far between than on previous visits, not sure if this is a reflection on the morals or economy of the nation Food - like a feckin pig! IHOP, Denny's, Taco Bell, steak, lobster, burgers etc Shows - Penn & Teller (good laugh) and The Beatles : Love which was superb Wheels - Dodge Challenger, mint! Guns - did the whole machine gun package and it was ridiculously enjoyable, now I know why the Yanks are so keen on shooting up the place all the time Shopping - plenty of bargains to be had but not as cheap as other trips and the exchange rate is currently pants Returned to hundreds of emails today, don't people read the out of office messages? Twats. What's occurring on here?
Lost Vegas just doesn't appeal to me being a simple country loon. Call me obtuse but what can I say? I'm not angling for anything.
No it wasn't that one but that was good all the same Favourite Las Vegas movies: Swingers Leaving Las Vegas Diamonds are Forever First Ocean film whatever number(not no.1) Casino and probably loads more with gambling/hookers/mafia etc
I know that wasn't the one, but in Con Air does the film not end in Vegas? No Usual Suspects or Pulp Fiction on your list? You really are a simpleton ****. I like Mick.
There are some spiffing new hotels on the main strip. Vdara, Continental, Aria and the Wynn and Encore further down the main drag are very smart. I stayed at the Bellagio (the one with all the fountains that George Clooney and his pals are stood in front of at the end of one of those Oceans fillums) and although it is a cut above the norm I'd say it is looking a tad dated when compared to the newer swanky hotels. You can also get some decent deals at the off-strip hotels such as the Rio or Palms but be prepared to schlepp back to the main drag or pay for cabs. Just avoid downtown unless you want to be accosted by pan-handlers, crack whores and all the other flotsam and jetsam that has slipped through the gaps. Rough as f.uck but the minimum bets are much lower if you fancy a gambol so your dollar goes further. Took me nearly 2 hours to lose $100 on the Blackjack tables downtown. It was certainly more lively around Fremont Street but I was glad to leave with my wallet and fillings still intact. I'd certainly agree that Casino is one of the best films about Vegas, the bit where Joe Pesci is baseball batted/battered and buried alive is very powerful.
Did anyone know the name Nevada came from a Spanish **** meaning "snow-covered", after the Sierra Nevada. ftp
