what do you think our realistic starting XI is going to be. are we likely to see a debut for new boy santon? i would prefer santon as he's a more natural defender against SWP than Raylor

THis is the most likely starting 11 IMO but i would prefer to play best or ba up front with 3 behind either of them away from home.

In regards to Santon at left back if it aint broke don't fix it
He seems to like this formation with Ober there at 'number 10' as this is what we expect to play when Benny's back so may as well have players get used to it
Hopefully Marveaux starts on the left!

Marveux Best* Obertan

*With Best just ahead Marv and Ober who would play as wide forwards

Dont see the need in having Santon on the bench. He's had 2 weeks to get used to the team and place. Get him in!

No he hasn't, he's been away with the u-21s for the international break.

 

meh, i say chick him in anyway. if he was good enough to make his CL debut trying to shackle ronaldo then he's good enough to square off against SWP at QPR.

 

So? I didnt say he was sitting around Toon for 2 weeks. My point is its not like we have signed him yesterday and needs a bit of time to bed in.

He's obviously fit to play, so just play him.

 

It said on Sky Sports News that he'd make he's debut from the bench. I personally think it's a bit of a risk. Bringing on a replacement defender is much more of a critical decision that bringing on another mid or striker if you're winning or looking to hold on to a result.

He should only come on if we're like 3-0 up/

 

Yes but imo he needs time to bed into the team. This means time to train with them before going into a match.

 

They should just play him from the start. we should be looking to win against the likes of QPR. i know we're away from home but we should be lining up to win this.

 

Yes we should, and we can without Santon.
