Well looks like Tom Eaves has played his last game for Gills. A league 2 player who had hardly done anything before we signed him on a free transfer. Amazingly he has scored more goals for Gills (40) in two seasons in a poor team. More than Super Bob Taylor. I for one am sad to see him go and wish him well probably in championship. I also think some fans did not appreciate how well he did for us.
Where's that damned 'unlike' button ? --- can you please delete my 'Blackpool goals...' thread ( before you look at the link ! )
It would be great if he could be enticed to stay but the management would have to show a lot more ambition and commitment to the team rather than 'blather' on about a new stadium. FFS a stadium doesn't play football or even guarantee improved attendances.....we only have to watch the Saturday evening EFL programme to see the vast empty spaces. If there was such ambition and an injection of further quality I am sure he would think twice, but who could blame anyone for wanting the opportunity to ply their trade at a higher level? Whatever he does, I wish him the very best and thank him for the past two seasons where he has been a 'diamond amongst the dross'.
Tone deaf??? More like Tone deaf, dumb and bloody blind. What an idiot, ruining a perfectly decent grand piano by putting a pint of gravy on it
