Interesting stuff. Amazing how long York and Norwich were up at the top of that list. Norwich only dropping down in the late 1800s. Lincoln high up it quite a while. Been to Totnes, smashing little town. Was the richest place in the country a few centuries back. Amazing to think it was bigger than what are now large cities back then.
Also, early 20th century Hull was quite a bit bigger than Newcastle or Sunderland. Shame we couldn't build stadiums and get crowds like theirs.

Do you think Hull’s fishing industry has had an impact on crowd sizes?

I’m guessing a large population of men were away at sea each weekend & when they returned they were on the piss for a few days before heading off again.

Hard to say. I imagine a lot of them will have been rugby fans. Though they will have numbered n the hundreds rather than the thousands. And it is something which hasn't had an effect for decades now.

Colin need not apply. He has few morals, but would he work for the Allams?

    Has he gone yet?

You get the impression they're just stringing him along with the old 'new owners on the horizon' trick. If Nigel is a bit pissed off with it all how does he think we feel after 5 years?

Still don’t understand why contracts run to end of June when season ends in May for all.

So there is a month at the end of a contract when players are not actually playing.
Most of ours start in August.
Players signed in the January window don’t start in July

I would work for them, imagine what you could accidentally do.

“Oh no I have just reversed the works van into that stupid vehicle of the vice idiots”

“I wonder whose laptop this is in the vice dickheads office, I will just check the e mails to see whose it could be”... oh no I have just accidentally forwarded them all on to Tiggyleaks.....

I will just check the history on the same laptop... :emoticon-0104-surpr:emoticon-0104-surpr what’s this goat lovers website that he looks at ? Oh he seems to have uploaded a few pics to Readers Goats, isn’t that the stadium in the background.... ooops that another thing accidentally forwarded to tiggyleaks.

Then I could put a few generators on e bay. Immediate Pick up only...

The fun working for them could be endless. The Christmas party would be fantastic getting certain people pissed.

I worked in the fishing industry and closely with the crews, and there were not that many City supporters amongst them. Hull FC was the biggest amount of fans, I assume because they were at the Boulevard..
