Im not sure he asked to go plus i dont think Udinese said they would like him. It was more like he would not get much time if he stayed so we shiped him there to get him some time on the pitch Does anyone know if he has been playing at the back or CM ?

Cahill too old, (33) and too slow these days for PL football I suspect. He will probably find another season or two in a lower league.

We have really fallen off results wise recently.

How was the performance? Missed the game as just getting up and shipshape here.

We played very well apart from the first 15 minutes of the second half. Somehow the ball just wouldn't fall for us, and when we did get it in the net an offside was given because it touched one of our players on the way in.

Same old, same old, did not take our chances first half and made to pay for it. How many goals have we conceeded from set plays? ( two in two minutes today).
Out of the others (United, Spurs and Arsenal) Chelsea could have been forgiven for thinking they had the toughest game, they had the most comfortable result, which sums up the result today for us. We need to defend better and make the most of our chances.

Well, just back from the match and still trying to work out how we contrived to make such a sows ear of a result from a silk purse performance....
Negatives... a reluctance to take responsibility in front of the opposition goal; a seemingly inbuilt necessity to switch off at the back.
Positives.... Chalobah's performance and generally the whole team.
This run must break, surely? A positive performance and the reward that goes with it has got come! Surely? Hopefully on May 18th 2019.

I was watching Chalobah closely as I wasn't sure he had recovered fully from his injury. No need to worry. He played very well, and looks like someone who belongs in the team.

Chalobah lost his man and Mariappa didn't stay with Luiz.

    Good movement for 3rd tbf.

    Holebss was unlucky twice !

Gray preventing Success goal being allowed probably summed the day up !

I watched some highlights on Youtube provided by a foreign TV station and I have to say I felt we played very well but as others have said, we are not clinical enough when chances present and our defense switched off again by not getting in front of the players who headed the set piece goals.

The highlights were very good showing the good moves by each team - MOTD please note.

They didn't show Pereyra's nutmegs... we had more than one passage of play that was pure gold, but like so much of our build up play failed to finish with a worthwhile attempt on goal.
