Roberto Firmino will miss Tuesday’s game against Barcelona at Anfield but could return for Liverpool’s final Premier League match of the season versus Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The No.9 was absent from the Reds’ squad for Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Newcastle United due to the muscular injury he sustained in training last week.
During his post-match press conference at St. James’ Park, Jürgen Klopp confirmed that Firmino won’t be fit for the Champions League semi-final second leg.
“He will not be ready for Tuesday and the rest we will see,” said the boss.

Doing my best to keep Sturridge and Origi out of the team. Plus I think Trent could do with support down that side.

 

Trent could do with support but we need to score goals. Origi doesn't always pull it off but he is direct with pace, we need that

 

It was obvious he wasn't going to play. These days you don't play after being subbed for concussion. In my opinion he hardly leaked info, in fact it's refreshing he replies to a fan. Only fools thought he'd be fit, Barca aren't fools...
