i have a good plan for transfer targets. we should target the 4 teams in the championship play offs and pick off a couple of the best players from the 3 teams that do not get promoted for signing. that'll work
Steven Davis was another player that sent us congratulations on staying up. Good player...good luck, Stevo.
A reminder of the significant dates in the transfer window: Thursday 16th May: Window opens for domestic transfers only. Sunday 9th June: International transfer window opens (transfers may not be technically completed until 1st July or later depending on contracts). Thursday 8th August 5pm. Transfer window shuts.
My taxi driver to the Bournemouth game told me he was Hasenhuttl's driver for his first few months in Southampton. At the end of the ride, he showed me a deck on his phone that included a slide with Hasenhuttl's plans for the players. I have no idea how he got hold of it and whether he was invited (or wasn't) to the presentation and went. And even, if it was genuine. But my hunch is that it was. From what I can remember (I didn't get the chance to take a photo of it!): Move on - Austin (bad influence on the younger players, especially Obafemi who he takes out clubbing), Long (might change with recent performances), Hoedt, Lemina, Cedric, Stephens, Alien Lucy To review - Targett, Bertrand - Boufal and Carillo because he hasn't seen them yet. Keep - Ramsey, Valery, JWP, Romeu, Yoshi Vestergard, Ings, Redmond, Emile H, Bednarek, Gunn, McCarthy, Sims, Obafemi, Slattery. Can't remember - Gallagher, Armstrong.
Ralph said in his press conference that he will buy young and hungry players who want to learn and they will have a whole pre-season to work with the squad......his naivety is endearing
Most fans would draw up a similar list....just can't imagine Ralph being that indiscrete with a taxi driver. The odd throwaway line perhaps, but nothing detailed.
I have always suspected that Austin is one of those footballers that go bankrupt within a few years of retirement...he's having a good time and I don't begrudge anyone that, but he has expensive interests.
Not to be confused with James Wilson of ManU who has been on loan at Aberdeen this season. Idea was he`d come up here and bang in a load of goals in this piss poor league. Reality is that he`s a lazy waste of space that has been bench-warming luxury. 3 goals he`s scored.
