Taken this morning from Louis Mendez on twitter-: What I'm asking for is fair. I'm not a greedy person, it's just what I feel I've earned. I feel that we'll get there in the end, but I'm disappointed it hasn't been done before the end of the season.” - Lee Bowyer and LB on contract: “Not really any update. I had a positive conversation at the end of last week, but we've got a bit stuck at the moment and that's where we are. But as I've said, that's not my biggest worry. I believe we will come to an agreement.” #cafc What the hell are RD and RM playing at!!
^^^^^^^ Bowyer should be allowed to focus on the team and getting us promoted, not having to deal with this sh1t Typical Regime Bollox.
Very similar to the end of Jose Riga's first stint. He made it very public he wanted to stay, the fans wanted him to stay, he had a successful stint and fitted in at the club. The whole thing dragged on and on until the owner announced the appointment of Millwall Bob. No reason, just a statement from Meire that Roland had made the decision that this was the way forward. So I'm not optimistic, especially since Bowyer already has a successful business and doesn't need to take **** from anyone.
BowJackson will have plenty of other takers if we do not offer him a new contract... I think QPR is still vacant? Lee isn't worried because he doesn't have to be!
Can't help feeling that this isn't an issue that Muzza has any influence with, RD & The Turkey are at fault.
Steve Gallen comes across as being a tip top toughly good egg ! … was offered a job at Fleetwood last summer on better money but turned it down.. https://talksport.com/football/efl/...steve-gallen-league-one-promotion-lee-bowyer/
If everybody else in the World can see what an asset Bow is to Charlton, why can't an old f@rt in Belgium? …. just give Bow a proper contract you t1t
According to a couple of posters in ITTV, the new contract is pretty much done, and Bow hopes to sign it hopefully before the play offs are concluded. I have no idea if this is true - the people who posted this were pretty disparaging of anyone complaining that we haven't got Bow signed up yet.
Whatever the result on Sunday, Lee Bowyer must be given a long term contract at Charlton next week. His managerial record on shoestring budgets is now there for all to see, and I am convinced that he would take Steve Gallen if he went to the likes of WBA, so it would be a double blow. The Belgian prick would immediately appoint “fans favourite” Jacko as a manager, but he would have a daunting task in L1 next season with no budget and no Gallen. I wont buy an ST in the Championship until I know Bowyer is staying (I won’t but one full stop in L1)
