Don’t understand these threads, yes Wenger was a huge part of the problem. No I did not expect our team to immediately become world beaters. No I don’t for one second ‘regret’ getting rid of Wenger.
Still arsene players. Judge after he brings players of his choosing! Feels like his banging a square peg in a round hole..
I must say, I'm kinda surprised (and slightly impressed) by how restrained you guys have been in the face of such obvious trolling by myself. I suppose us getting knocked out of contention for auto promotion tonight was karma...
You really cannot blame AW for this mess! Even without a coach, I would expect this team to go out and beat Brighton!
The reason those players are playing for us is because of Wenger. Emery has a lot to prove in a short space of time before the knives are out (and I don't think he will be able to prove being worthy) but the ****e on the pitch is because of the ****wit who bought almost all of them. The only players who should be in our first XI are Leno, Bellerin, Sokratis, Torreira, Lacazette and Auba and half of those are Emery regime. But only one of our two strikers should really be starting. So we need six new starting players. All because Wenger bought ****e, over and over again. Welbeck. Seriously? Xhaka. FOR £35M! Seriously? And he also spunked club record transfer on a top striker when we already had a top striker. And we now shoehorn both into the team which barely works. Our current starting XI cost £290m and one of those was free. So that's £29m on average per player. We can call on Kroenke all we want but the facts are we HAVE spunked a lot of cash on a quite seriously deficient first XI. When you look has moved in the last three years outside of the really big teams for approx £30m average it's tear jerking imagining who we COULD have bought and yet have embarrassingly have ended up with instead. Mane? No we'll have Ozil! Salah? No we'll have Welbeck! Kante? No we'll have Xhaka! Clearly we wouldn't have attracted ALL of these players but christ, that doesn't mean we have to buy stinking turds like Xhaka.
Only a poor workman blames his tools. You can blame Wenger all you like, the buck stops at Emery right now. He was in the position as Sarri and he flopped. He is not a good manager, I would not trust him to restructure the team. He has failed to get anything out of this current setup, why trust him to rebuild?
You can spout catchphrases all you like. This is a majority Wenger team of players. And Wenger couldn't get them to do anything. I'm not sure I really do trust Emery but either you back a manager to try and do what HE wants with his OWN signings or what's the point? He should have at least one summer window. But if this ****e continues in August then he won't last long. But this IS Wenger's ****e that Emery is putting a few rise petals on. As well as a bit of his own ****e mind with bizarre selections and tactics. But the mound of ****e doesn't belong to him. And for that he deserves more than one season to unpick the colossal decade long ****ing up of our club that Wenger oversaw until he left.
Its kinda hard to judge Emerys first Season. We had an impressive 22 game run without a loss. We performed better against the big sides than the previous few seasons. We have the most effective strikeforce in the league but our defence is amongst the most error prone. Our home record is actually very good. Away from home we have been very poor. Emery is reluctant to play two up front despite the fact all our best results have come with this formation. It's all a mixed bag really. We could still win the Europa - giving us a trophy and Champions league football or we could loose to Chelsea/Frankfurt in the final making these last few Premierlaegue performances all the more frustrating.
We still need to get past Valencia first. The tie is not over by any stretch. And after today's performance, I have no confidence whatsoever.
This is part of the reason I don't get the animosity amongst Arsenal fans towards Kronke. No, he isn't spending what the likes of City & United are spending, but if as you say your current starting XI cost £290m...to put that into perspective, and I don't say this to WUM, this is our strongest line up: Lloris - £11m Trippier - £3m Toby - £10m Jan - £11m Rose - £1.5m Sissoko - £30m Winks - FREE Son - £22m Alli - £5m Eriksen - £9m Kane - FREE Total: £102.5m Kronke clearly sanctions regular expenditure. He also clearlt sanctions regular wage increases, to the extent that Ozil now earns twice as much as Harry Kane does. Is it Kronke's fault his trust has been betrayed repeatedly by the poor judgement of your manager and his staff? By your own fans' admission, Kronke knows next to nothing about football and involves himself minimally in the on-field decisions. Did he know who Mustafi was before you pissed £30m up a wall on him? Mkhitariyan (sp)? Xhaka? Monreal? I highly doubt it. So why should he be blamed for others' mistakes? I can understand your frustration but I and many other Spurs fans would be delighted if Levy suddenly raised our wage ceiling by 38% to match yours. We would be equally as delighted to spend another £180m on our first team. I don't see what else Kronke could have done other than be far less trusting of clearly incompetent managerial decisions during the Wenger era.
Truth is that the club has recruited poorly. I remember when VVD was still at Celtic and I as shocked Wenger wasn't already on him. It was a typical Wenger type signing. We could have snapped him up for less than 15M. Wanyama at Celltic was another one I thought this is a no brainer. You could see they had premier league quality and were the type of players Wenger would love but... We end up blowing a lot of cash on Mustafi and Gabriel.
Its kinda mad that this Seasons success is basically coming down to 1 game. We COMFORTABLY should have qualified for the Champions League already but some dreadful performances have really put the pressure on. It weirds me out that the same side that beats Valencia, Tottenham, Man United, Napoli, Chelsea with high level performances can also be soo poor, soo disorganised. Ultimately though our defence has been the problem. 50 goals conceded is our second worst ever Premierleague Season in that regards. From an attacking perspective however.. Lacazette. 19 goals 13 assists Aubameyang. 29 goals 7 assists Thats a TOP class forwards line and we should be looking to build our side around that next Season.
You do know wenger wanted kante and not Xhaka, statDNA an algorithmic program given to us said kante was worth only upto 30m and refused a spend of more on him and recommended Xhaka instead forb35m Wenger didnt have full autonomy he could choose but not how much on whom, its kroenke that ****ed us up with statDNA He wanted Suarez and the latter was ready to join who made the ****ing 40+1 bid and ****ed it up? Wenger being too classy was a shield for our ****img board always just like how he was to parrot we had money on the banter era while he was forced to make an average of a 20m profit a year from 2005 to 2012 Rather than emery we have completely transitioned to a continental style of management, its sven that identified everyone according to our means

Source? Aside from a random website called Highbury-House I mean? Or rather where did they get that info from?
Come on None of you guys heard about the fiasco that was statDNA,the cabale that was raised during an agm meeting where a data analytics company was charging us an amount a year? Then we went in to buy it?
