Well after reflecting on the missed opportunity once again of a playoff place.

I wish to congratulate Lee Johnson on a excellent season with the squad of players he had at his disposal.

If it was not for injuries to Korey Smith and Nikki our season may have been so different.

However we move on and we plan for another season. For me I think we will see some big changes.
I reckon we will see a new goalkeeper, right back, central defender, midfielder and two strikers and a winger arrive.

I think we may see as many as five or six leave the club.

It has been a extremely exciting season, one of the best for a very long time, clearly we need to strengthen which I’m sure will happen.

Next season this league will weaker in terms of teams coming in and going out and I reckon it will be a excellent time to challenge for a top two place.

I’m disappointed we lost out this year, but we are not ready and not good enough for the next challenge yet.

Exciting times are just around the corner I hope.

Two things in this that’s impressed me. One it’s positive and the other is there are no real problems in presentation of this written thread.

Can the real R.R give us his views please <laugh><laugh>

A season for me that offered hope and we came up short for various reasons, most beyond our control. Nevertheless I do believe we should have done better, especially at home where we should hold the advantage, but all in all some would call it a fairly successful season and we move on. Have a great summer all of you from me here on the Canadian west coast.

I'm impressed by your positivity RR, though I think it's unlikely that we'll see quite as much transfer business as you're suggesting.

GK: yes, I think we'll be looking.

RB: much less likely - with Pisano, Hunt & Wright, the club will think we're covered enough there.

CB: depends on what happens, ie assuming Kalas goes back to Chelsea, but unless a Premiership club forces through the purchase of Webster I think we'll see Baker play more, Lloyd Kelly start to play centrally & Vyner back, so very unlikely to splash cash here.

CM: I agree that I think we need someone else. Pack & Brownhill are great but unfortunately Smith has too many injury crises to be relied upon. Walsh shouldn't be forgotten but a smart signing could be massive.

2 x ST: I think a striker is one of the highest priorities, but two? If one is a marquee signing & the other a cheap target man then maybe, but Semenyo ought to be involved more next season & Eisa hasn't been given a chance either. Just one quality signing for me.

Winger: I think O'Dowda will move on so maybe. We've not seen much of Adelakun & LJ may stand by Watkins though, so think it's more likely not to happen.

I think our squad is close to being very good & needs just a few quality additions, rather than overhauled. Young players will be another year older & wiser too - keeping Da Silva would be high on my priority list.

Wouldn't hurt to order in some banjos for training at the farm!

I'd add in the possibility of Vyner to the right back position above. Unfortunately we have an abundance of 'good' players there but none that are Prem quality.

    Fair comment.
I'm hoping to see LJ give Vyner a run of games at RB and possibly anywhere across the back.
He has to be better than Bailey Wright at RB, most likely CB as well.
Might be a bit early but who's to say both of our Academy lads Kelly and Vyner won't be pushing for CB spots next season.

Pisano is out of contract this summer. And going by a recent tweet that he recalled it indicted he is off in the summer.
Wright becomes a free agent next summer, so I can see the club cashing in on him this summer if needed.
