I didn’t watch today tbh but Burnley were always going to do that. Let’s see what the weekend brings, our game at Newcastle isn’t the easiest given out midweek game. I’m not holding my breath on Leicester doing anything....City are just too good for them.
I didn't watch either, been at work. Was going by the comments on here and using it as a example. Imo, teams need to have a go at Man City to stand a chance of getting anything.
the I was watching f1 (dull) then turned on Burnley v manc city and was amazed to find it 0-0. it took 2 mins of highlights to see that was in short a flaming miracle and I predicted rightly the goal.would.come from city's right side. Burnley were only ever gamely hanging on. they were always going to tire. same as Huddersfield Friday. just gave 15mins effort after coughing up lead and we then hammered them. city sat off which shows the nerves they have. they knew burnely hadn't much about them so tried to pass it about and kill game at 1-0. that's a compliment to us imo. we will I hope.beat newkie and then it'll be over to city again Monday night. for.me though Leicester is 90% likely.last chance for us as Brighton are bloody awful and have nothing to threaten city at the back. now Brighton are safe imo (I think it'll be confirmed next weekend) We will be having a pity party by ht last day... we shouldnt though... if we are on 97 points by end it's our imo greatest ever premier league season and pretty close to best ever season in a league ever...
well Burley coped quite easily in first half without ever threatening City. Second half City came out following a clear Pep bollocking and just came at them gung ho and it was only a matter of time till they scored. After that there wasn't that much in it and Burnley finally had some attacks without ever looking likely to score.
I honestly thought looking at replays burnely were wide open at left full. second half the doubled up there. the replays showed at least 4 good chances messed up by city just not getting right ball... I thought goal was inevitable.
seriously not sure of your point here because if 1st half i disagree that they created 4 good chances and 2nd half yes and as i said just a matter of time before they scored.
Translator for Aguero? As he not learnt English? He's been at Man City for about a decade, that's embarrassing if true!
I should rephrase good chances to they were in round back on their right wing and took too long or ball didnt run right. So sure "not good chance" but it only takes one to fall right to be one.
Anyone notice in the chelse whnited game when Chelsea were down to 10 because rudiger went off injured. Chelsea had the sub ready but ball was in play. So when it went to David luiz, he started holding his groin and knocked back out and went down injured. Sub could be made, then he miraculously recovered and got up... united then gave the ball back to chelsea ffs. Really is one area of game that needs sorting. The whole knock ball out, it’s far to easy to knock it out for your own team if you’re under some kind of pressure and get it back nice and easily. Should be ref stops the game or you play on. If you knock the ball out for your own team, then opposition doesn’t give you the ball back
villa players were out of order. i get that what leeds did could be seen as unsportsmanship, but the villa players were getting physical. it was only a player down injured ffs and not a head injury. fa might charge them for being unable to control their players.
