If you think that them having extra days to recover/prepare is an advantage, then fair enough, but I don’t see it that way. I think they were at a disadvantage playing the game on Sunday and having to play Spurs away two days later. This evens it up imo. One day off in between two fixtures put Spurs at a huge advantage. Spurs have an early KO tomorrow, it’s not an advantage for me, sorry.
I didn't say it had been rearranged? I said it is a change in MO to the usual way the PL/TV companies do nothing to help the clubs in the champions league. Coincidence, of course. Obviously.
This Huddersfield game has been scheduled for Friday night since the April Sky fixtures were announced ages ago, probably before we even finished playing Bayern Munich Edit: https://www.skysports.com/amp/footb...s-premier-league-fixtures-announced-for-april We didn't even know we were in quarter finals
Err yes it probably is... like I say it was probably decided way before they reached the semis. Friday night games came in last season. Poor old United after 30 years of getting everything their way
We didn’t get everything our way, Drogba’s goal that was 2 yards offside cost us a league title. So **** you.
Yeah its an expression Tel but okay you may have had one teeny thing go against you in that time. Poor little lambs .
Personally I don't think it's a case of bias. It would just be nice if other English clubs had got the same that's all.
It's coincidence. TV companies are king, they'll tell the league to **** off if it doesn't suit them even if the league did watering help which they clearly don't as it's not in their interests.
Can I also add Kevin Keegan to the list. Won promotion from the Championship as a player and then did the same thing as manager with us. It might not sound much but its the only honour we have actually won in the last 50years, albeit 4 times.
If it further highlights @Hoddle Is A God 's **** up then it's always welcome to be added to the list
The **** you talking about? I said it's change in direction from how the Premier League and the TV companies usually 'help' out our teams in the champions league. Which is to make the fixture before as awkward as possible. Is that clear enough? If this was the other way round, Pool fans would be blaming the BBC. Like they do for everything else.
