David Burns@bbcburnsy Marc Pugh has gone back to @afcbournemouth from @HullCity . Broke his toe in Sheff Utd game. Thanks for the memories Marc.
Would be a very welcome addition next season, but at face value seems that's not going to happen if Marc is seeking wages in line with what he's earned in recent seasons. A great pro, one to give guidance and share his experience with younger players, wish you all the best Marc wherever you end up next season.
Yep all the best Marc Pugh. No doubt a club with better owners and more ambition than us will snap him up.
Wonder if that's the general protocol to send an injured player back to his parent club, or if Ehab's rubbing his hands at the thought of saving 2 weeks wages
I don't think I've ever seen a footballer ever mention a club owner, anywhere, in their farewell messages to supporters, team-mates, club staff and managers.
Similarly I have been to numerous functions for personnel goodbyes in the Corporate world and never heard an individual thank the shareholders.
Like many, I would love to see him back in black and amber next season. A forlorn hope though I'm afraid.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...says-thanks-to-hull-fans-for-five-great-years there you go - first one I looked up - although he thanked everyone except Bruce
Don't you think there may be a tinge of ironic sarcasm behind his inclusion of the owners in his farewell message ? As far as I can remember, he really didn't want to leave City and Bruce may well have been "forced" to get rid of him by you know who ?
nope - Bruce had 4 contract renewals to deal with - McShane, Rosie, Quinn and Junior - he let Rosie and Macca leave, Quinny was fed up with him and wouldn't sign, the only one that Brucie retained was his son, funny that
Terry Neill and Tommy Docherty always mentioned Harold Needler with great respect and affection, as did ex players and even rival managers.
