If this is the MW thing, is it too sensitive to put on here? I'm in the dark otherwise

    https://www.skysports.com/football/...-the-verge-of-promotion-to-the-premier-league

"If we had sacked Daniel at any time during last season, it probably wouldn't have been a surprise," Norwich sporting director Stuart Webber told Sky Sports earlier this season. "The supporters would not have complained. The local media would not have complained. If the club had listened to the noise, then both Daniel and I would have been sacked a long time ago, but luckily the club stuck with it.
“Sometimes, to get success, you have to go through that period because if it was easy to win by playing the football we want to play with young players and smart recruitment from abroad, then everyone would do it. People are quick to judge but it needs a bit of time. We are trying to sort a big mess out here, which we didn't create, so give us a chance."
Norwich had already lost three games before that draw with Ipswich, but those came against West Brom, Sheffield United and Leeds - who currently occupy the other spots in the top four. After that, however, came an incredible run that saw them lose just two more games in 2018. By November, they had hit the top of the table, and it was a spot they would only occasionally relinquish between then and all but securing promotion.

It is a lesson in patience that other clubs in the second tier and below could well learn from.

Some significant savings coming up with Naismith and Jarvis' salaries finishing in a couple of months. Other potentials? - Oliveira, Pinto, Wildschutt???
I'm sure the board will still be looking to cut back the overall salary spend this summer even though PL's on the horizon. From memory player salaries last financial year were 50% of income before other org salaries and operational costs so there will still be pressure to keep salaries for new hires under control.

And the irony being that his beloved Lambchop has managed to achieve with 1p5swich what Col_U Mike was desperate for him to do while in charge at Norwich! Cake, icing..... :emoticon-0166-cake: :emoticon-0116-evilg

Very interesting DH. I find WhoScored an objective rating of players but there are some quirks about it. Aarons and Lewis don't get points for much of what they contribute unless they happen to get an assist. Also, a player's overall rating can be dragged down by sub appearances where it's hard to score many points. Trybull's overall rating is 6.95, but if you remove the sub appearances, it's 7.3. Vrancic, Leitner and Rhodes are similar. What I do like is that the scores are based on actual contributions like key passes, interceptions and steals rather than someone's subjective judgement.

I agree about the 19 most used players and adding Heise and McGovern for next season. That leaves 4 places, 5 if Rhodes doesn't sign or Srbeny goes on loan. My choice for the 4 would be a wide player who can play on either flank and possibly as a striker as well (Babel, for instance), a RB to compete with Aarons, a CB if we are to play 3 at the back and possibly another AM or DM option or another wide option.

Congrats lads. Selling your best players and replacing them with players who dont know the league and academy players is a recipe for disaster

Just shows how well you lot have done this season on every level

    Welcome back to the Prem

I am so happy for the team and the city and all the fans. My big downer is that since retiring and moving to Somerset last October, I had to give my season ticket up after 14 seasons, as it's just not doable from down here,so I wont get to see us live in the prem at carrow road. Will have to make do with the odd away game I suppose!

Was an incredible night FML and we got there in style. Probably one of the most one-sided 2-1’s I have ever seen, we could have scored at least 8 and our play was exquisite at times. The atmosphere was electric and the place rocking at the end. I was so delighted for the players and staff to see them celebrate together at the end and the crowd respect the request to stay off the pitch. Amazing night - unforgettable. OTBC.
