I have been in England 1 month on Wednesday Review of my first impressions of the nightlife in the UK. 1: It is irritating how irregular the quality is (of everything) 2: The age difference is huge (!?) I went into a place yesterday and it didn't take me long before I realised that I was the youngest one there (besides my company) with at least 10 years. But I also bump into old-timers at the more "hip" clubs, people who could be my grandparents without any problems. Would never happen in Swe 3: The booze is much cheaper than in Sweden-Big plus 4: The irregular quality of girls does at least offer some alternatives.... 5: I'm not sure if it's a Stoke-thing, but the blokes here does in majority look like they are going to release their pitbull at ya, at any moment. One more "Do the robot dance, Crouchie" and I'll snap 7: If you were red pants you apperantly "automaticly gay". You will also get someone who wants to fight you because of it (pretty laughable moment) Are they really that bad? Nobody would ever comment them in Sweden More or less these with a black shirt (I did get some extra attention from the girls, but that was mostly because of them thinking that I was gay and that they liked gay people......) [NSFW] please log in to view this image [/NSFW] I guess I'll have to leave them in the wardrobe! Summary It's pretty decent. There are more alternatives than I thought it would be in Stoke, and besides the age difference, irregular quality of girls, scary looking fellas and crap music (but hey, I guess they won't play any Metallica or Rise Against at any clubs) , it's pretty good!
To be honest if me and my mates were going out and one of them turned up in red trousers they would be getting the banter all night.
there were tonnes of people going round in red trousers about 3-5 years ago, if you go to the alternative clubs nobody would bat an eyelid, its just the usual ones, liquid etc that people will presume youre gay aha.
I'm not saying I wouldn't wear Red trousers. What I'm saying is I wouldn't wear them on a night out. If they are red cord trousers then you are 100% gay.
ha ha, ive never been round stoke on a night, but judging by the pubs before a game thats not a bad thing...you wana get yourself to newcastle/liverpool/bristol..there all good nights..leave the red pants at home tho
About ten miles south of Stoke, Granvilles in Stone is a good place for a night out if you don't mind a moderate entrance fee. Live music, decent food or a cocktail bar to match those red trousers.
