Thai know where your coming from, but we will get a better picture how the land lies, at the end of September, I won't be getting worried until then, but it is frustrating, though it does take time to settle at this level. What do we want? We want goals!...............

I don't really mind John spews to be honest, he is a great source of entertainment <laugh> but there is a limit to his wums, if he disrupts proper threads where we are discussing issues he should be deleted to keep threads on track.

Shame Mick hasn't added a great addon to the forum which allows a ban from a particular thread by the mods, I had it on another forum and it was a godsend

Lost to a freak goal, and were unlucky not to score, lack of a cutting edge has to be a worry though, only saw it on MOTD but a draw would have seemed a fair result from the highlights...........not a dig, just as I saw it and what I gathered from reports.

listening to them debating on talksport about us they say we are playing some great football that is being let down by the finishing and they said that will be our downfall to certain relegation .....Goal difference plays a huge part in the premiership especially towards the end of the season. with 4 games played now and not a single goal then all that good football is going to waste....Brendan has to try a different formation and try other strikers or they will be left behind trying to play catch up......They are right of course Brendan does need to try something else as we need to finish off in games when the chances are there......to say the goals will come is not good enough as that is just making excuses,.....WBA and Chelsea next that will both be very hard to get anything and impossible if we cant finish......

The WBA match next week is now HUGE. There comes a time when we have to start winning and hopefully it will come next week, although WBA will also target us for a three pointer.

The Swans gave a great performance yesterday, so to lose to a fluke goal was disappointing. Graham played reasonably well, but he will be targeted for that "miss", which was a lot harder than people are making out because the ball was behind him.

It was a great team performance against one of the top Clubs in Europe and our fans were magnificent.

I would be less inclined to say that the WBA game is now huge because of our previous results. Look at it this way; Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea away. Before the fixtures were released, who really expected us to get points from these games? Yeah, maybe a sneaked draw perhaps, but realistically they are not our important games. With this in mind, we have drawn against a Wigan side who, whilst we would have very much liked to have beaten, knew our game inside out and dealt with it effectively. And also gained a point from an extremely expensive and talented Sunderland team. A win against WBA would be ideal, but a draw wouldn't be the nightmare scenario that some on here are predicting. 3 points from our first three games that matter is not a disaster by any means, in my opinion.

..Pretty acurate Proph..we are a bit toothless at the moment, i think thats down to not being used to the lack of time you get on the ball before geting closed down,we need to be a little more urgent or instinctive,a lot of teams admire our patient build up which is comparable to most in the premiership but we need to learn from them the the complete job, patient build up and QUICK and clinical finishing.I think we are a work in progress but i think we will get there

BAJ - You are right, it wouldn't be a disaster, but there is far less pressure on the team when they are not in the bottom three. After WBA we have Chelsea (A) and then a huge Stoke team at home. So to get three points against WBA would be a massive boost.

I am convinced the goals will come as will the wins. For large parts of all the games we have played we have been in control. We are creating chances, enough to win games. Everybody talking about it is probably not helping the players as it has to be on there minds. But if they keep going the goals will come. I am still confident.

Keep going, goals will come, we played man city, arsenal and chelsea game after next.......they are all excuses, Blackpool scored against these teams so whats our problem, we have had plenty of chances to score against every team we have played against, Its pointless people saying we have played well and were unlucky because if you cant score then how can you win......changes need to happen as in 4 games we have had plenty of chances to score and we are still barren.......we could well be bottom by the chelsea game and find us there all season. the top teams are already 10 points ahead after just 4 games. I would rather try different players as we have nothing to lose than keep persisting as we are.

Lot of spare seats going in the ccs yesterday John, got some mates that love soccer but can't get in the liberty, seems to be full all the time now we are in the big time, success seems to have that effect, may come up ccs for GRASSROOTS footie, either that or Neath, but then they have Trundle who can be very entertaining. No big deal dragon....take a look at the league we are bottom but one and that is after some good football ....like collimore says on talk sport..."you can play all the good football you want but if there is no goals then you are certain to go down"....and that is the answer by everyone,,,sorry we must change and try something else or we will be down by xmas....there have been too many chances that have gone begging and they cant all be bad luck...... The basics are there its the finishing that has been poor by everyone.....

You hit the nail on the head Dai. This is not just about DG. Everyone has got to chip in with goals. Personally, I think it will come because we are improving in every game played so far.

Yes you got to remember that only a small percentage of goals come from the strikers, they get 10-15 normally, the other 50 odd (on a good season) come from other areas of the park, basically its not graham failing to score, its the whole team.

That's ok anthill, looking at the numbers, you've had crowds of 19 and 19 thousand but full (acording to you) we've had crowds of 21, 22 and 23 thousand but spare seats. Nothing to brag about in terms of crowd sizes, but suggests you need a bigger stadium.

I still think goals will come for you, but changing personnel and formation may be a risk. At the moment you are making chances but not scoring. Too many changes and you may stop creating chances. Trust Rogers to do the right things, he's been good for you so far.

if BR plays a lone striker against WBA imo he is silly. it seems he always waits till the 75th minute if losing to bring on another striker or even 2. pls start with 2 strikers against the baggies and see what happens.

We probably won't retain possession as well? We'll start with one striker against the Baggies.
